Elite Force and Livin' Large Mac Versions Go Gold

Westlake Interactive's Macintosh versions of the Star Trek action game and The Sims expansion are complete.

Austin-based Westlake Interactive has announced that its Macintosh version of Star Trek: Voyager Elite Force has gone gold. The game is being published by Aspyr Media. The Quake III-powered first-person shooter was originally developed by Raven Software, and it features both a single-player campaign and a multiplayer mode. The game pits the Voyager crew against Klingons, the Borg, and other forces adapted from the television series. Players have access to nine different weapons, each of which has dual firing modes. The company has also announced the completion of its Mac version of The Sims: Livin' Large, an expansion to the immensely popular virtual-life game developed by Maxis. More information about the Livin' Large expansion is available in our review. Livin' Large is also being published by Aspyr.

The Macintosh version of Star Trek: Voyager Elite Force is scheduled to ship next week, and it has an estimated retail price of US$49.99. The Sims: Livin' Large Mac version will also ship next week, and it carries a suggested retail price of US$29.95.
