Elden Ring: Where To Find The Sword Of Night And Flame
This powerful weapon is a must-have for easy boss kills.
Elden Ring is filled with dozens of compelling weapons to wield against your foes, but the Sword of Night and Flame is considered to be one of the very best you can get your hands on. While the sword has interesting stat requirements that may cause you to stretch your points a bit thin, that's more than made up for with some truly overwhelming power that makes quick work of enemies. Even after a patch nerfed it a bit, this one remains a top-tier pick, so read on to find out where you can round it up.
Sword of Night and Flame explained
The Sword of Night and Flame is a straight sword with a unique visual flair, and it requires 12 Strength, 12 Dexterity, 24 Intelligence, and 24 Faith to wield. While it can pump out some solid damage with normal melee swings, the real kicker is its versatile double whammy weapon skill.
The Sword of Night Flame's weapon skill is simply called Night-and-Flame Stance. Using this skill allows you to hold L2/LT and then follow it up with either a light or heavy attack to execute a monstrous onslaught of magic. A light attack provides an incredibly powerful magical beam that can devastate bosses with the right build, while a heavy attack results in an aggressive fire AOE that can be great for dishing out damage at close range.
The Sword of Night and Flame's item description reads:
Storied sword and treasure of Caria Manor. One of the legendary armaments. Astrologers, who preceded the sorcerers, established themselves in mountaintops that nearly touched the sky, and considered the Fire Giants their neighbors.
Where to find the Sword of Night and Flame
The Sword of Night and Flame is found within Caria Manor, which is located in the northern part of Liurnia of the Lakes. Once you've made your way into the manor a bit, you'll come across the Manor Lower Level Site of Grace, and it's from here that you'll begin the short trek to find the sword.
From the Site of Grace, head out onto the fairly thin walkways. Go straight across the first one, turn left, and then finally turn right. As you follow this third walkway, you'll keep an eye out below you to the left. You'll see a large roof to which you can drop.
Once you've dropped to the roof, you'll simply need to look around for a ladder that will drop you into a cluttered room. Inside this room is a chest that holds the Sword of Night and Flame, as well as a door that will let you back out into the opening area of the Caria Manor. And with that, you'll be all set with one of Elden Ring's most sought-after weapons.
