Eidos, Acclaim beef up corporate rosters

New Eidos SVP comes from Crystal Dynamics; Vivendi alum pegged to lead Acclaim's ops in France.

With a number of big titles due shortly from both Eidos (Hitman: Contracts and Thief: Deadly Shadows) and Acclaim (Alias, Juiced, and 100 Bullets), the companies each released news today indicating that each was bolstering its management ranks.

At Eidos, John Spinale, former GM of Eidos-owned development studio Crystal Dynamics, was named to the post of senior vice president, North American product development. Spinale will oversee all product development in the North American region. He reports to Eidos CEO Mike McGarvey.

In the Acclaim camp, the company said it has tapped former Vivendi Publishing exec Dominique Cor as managing director of Acclaim's Paris-based division. Cor held the title of international senior vice president at Vivendi and was responsible for all product development in the European and Asian regions. Cor will report to Mike Sherlock, Acclaim's president of international publishing.
