ECTS: F1 Championship Season 2000

Electronic Arts shows off its updated Formula One racing simulation.

Comments

We've got some brand new shots of EA Sports' latest Formula One racing simulator, F1 Championship Season 2000. The game is essentially similar to this year's F1 2000, but adds a number of enhancements.

In designing F1 Championship Season 2000, EA employed the help of the Orange Arrows F1 team to ensure that the game would feature the utmost level of driving realism and graphical authenticity. Some of the visual updates include visor tear-offs, real-time pit boards, unique driver helmets, and a fully 3D and motion-captured 22-man pit crew. The physics model has been tweaked to provide spectacular crashes complete with flips, tumbles, and spins. The new damage model allows for cars to realistically break up during a tumble, sending tires and parts flying into the air. Other additions include complete commentary from F1 commentators Keith McKenzie, Jim Rosenthal, Jean Louis Moncet, Kai Ebel, Luis Villamil, and Ivan Capelli.

F1 Championship 2000 is scheduled for release later this year.
