The Japanese firm will publish its games in the European territory.

Capcom has revealed that for the first time it will establish a publishing and distribution presence in Europe. Currently Virgin Interactive publishes Capcom developed products in the continent, but Capcom will assume those duties beginning with the UK PlayStation 2 launch. According to Todd Thornson, director of marketing for the company, Capcom will "start building a powerhouse" in the European continent to service its consumers more effectively.

Capcom plans to release Street Fighter EX3 and Onimusha at the UK PlayStation 2 launch. SF EX3 will be the first Street Fighter game to launch alongside a console, not counting its relatively recent release with the Japanese PS2.
