Nintendo of Europe has today confirmed that its Wavebird wireless controller for the GameCube will be launched on November 22. The Wavebird, which uses radio waves rather than infrared signals to ensure that play is not interrupted even when obstacles come between the controller and the console, is expected to cost approximately 50 euros or 30-35 pounds for gamers in the UK.

The Wavebird controller has been available in North America since June. For more information, check out our previous coverage of this innovative peripheral.
