Eat Tacos, Maybe Win PlayStation VR Bundle From Sony

Now's your chance to get PlayStation VR before everyone else...by eating tacos.

Sony has yet again teamed up with fast food giant Taco Bell for a PlayStation promotion. This time, the two companies are working together for a PlayStation VR giveaway.

Starting today, September 15, some $5 Taco Bell Big Boxes will come with a code on them. You can then enter that code at this website for a chance to win a PlayStation VR launch bundle.

No Caption Provided

The device goes on sale on October 13, but Sony said in a blog post today that the headset will be delivered to you "several days" early. Sony also partnered with Taco Bell to give away PlayStation 4s back in 2013 and these were delivered early as well.

There will be lots of winners for this new giveaway, it seems, as a winner will be chosen around every 15 minutes.

Winners will receive a PlayStation VR launch bundle, which includes the device itself, two PlayStation Move controllers, and a PlayStation Camera. A PS4 is also required to use PlayStation VR, so you'll need to either already have one or buy one. Also included in the package is a $40 PlayStation Store credit that you can use to buy a game of your choice.

PlayStation VR launch bundles normally sell for $500. You can see the full contest rules here. The promotion ends October 19.

As mentioned, this isn't the first time Sony and Taco Bell have teamed up. The 2013 PS4 giveaway was followed up by a promotion to give away Destiny PS4 bundles, while the two companies also gave away special-edition gold PS4s.

It only took me 3 boxes but I won! I've never won anything this big before. I wasn't planning on getting the VR anytime soon but I'm so glad I get to have it

I entered my code today, but guess what? I didn't win. Not that I really expected to, but damn it. I'm not gonna eat there every day for a month, but I don't really have a spare $500 laying around either. Ooooohhhh... what to do, what to do?

@jayskoon93: The last one, a few years ago, I did that. Had Taco Bell for lunch, got my GF eating it too, took boxes out of the trash. Asked strangers for theirs. I was entering probably 10 or so codes a day. Didn't win a single thing beyond terrible health for a month. So if you enjoy having the poops give it a shot, otherwise don't bother lol

I actually won a gold PS4 from Taco Bell with their sweepstakes last year. I'll probably try to win the PSVR too, but I'm not going to give myself diabetes in the process. Maybe just one or two entries...

@killercondoms: ya know.... everyone talks about getting digestive issues from Taco Bell, but I've never had a problem with it. Granted, it's not my lunch of choice, but it's fine on occasion when I'm in a hurry and it never has me running for the bathroom later on. I guess everyone's different though.

@jcharp: It was a joke, I am very sarcastic, though I keep forgetting that it's tough to pull that off in comments. I personally have no issues with Taco Bell, I actually enjoy their food every now and then.

@jcharp: It doesn't happen to me until the next day. Now a days I eat taco bell once or twice a month, it never fails. I used to eat it every day and never had problems. (Until I binged ate it for a Vita and got sick, that's why I slowed down)

Happens with any fast food though. If you lay off it for a while then eat it, your stomach gets upset. If you eat it all the time then it just gets used to it.

@jcharp: A lot of places bother my stomach too... taco bell has never been one of them (aside from eating a massive dose of jalapeños).

@jcharp: No, you're right. I eat there plenty and there's no magical digestive issues. Stupid people have been trying to perpetuate this myth for a while now. They probably overpay for food at Panera.
