RBI Baseball 15 is also in development for PC, Mac, iOS, and Android, but release dates for those versions remain unconfirmed, according to a report from Polygon.

Sony's MLB 15: The Show, the other major licensed professional baseball game, will also be released on March 31. It launches that day for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation Vita.

With the MLB 2K series out of rotation, RBI Baseball 15 will be the only licensed MLB game for Xbox this year.

Responding to criticisms of RBI Baseball 14, the first new entry in the series in two decades, Major League Baseball's Advanced Media division promises a better game this year. New features for RBI Baseball 15 include better graphics, 40-man rosters for every MLB team, online multiplayer, stat tracking, and more.

Anthony Rizzo, the Chicago Cubs first baseman, is the cover star for RBI Baseball 15. Meanwhile, this year's Baseball Hall of Fame inductee Pedro Martinez has reached an agreement with the MLB to promote the game.
