Electronic Arts has opened up its official PSP Madden NFL 06 Web site in anticipation of the game's September 20 ship date. The game was previously released (and dominated August's sales charts) on current-generation systems, including the Xbox, PlayStation 2, GameCube, and PC.

Visitors to the game's Web site will find plenty of media files showing the game in action, which are shown in-site on a mock-up of the PSP. The site also details new features included in the PSP version, as well as links to other Madden-related information.

EA has also announced a Northern California launch celebration for the game. Fans are invited down to the San Francisco Sony Metreon on Wednesday, September 21, to join host and ex-Raider Tim Brown as the game enjoys its first day on sale.

Madden NFL 06 for the PSP is rated E for Everyone and will retail for $49.99. For more information on the game, go deep with GameSpot's recent coverage.

GameSpot may get a commission from retail offers.
