Electronic Arts informed GameSpot News Monday that it intends to publish Codemasters' TOCA Touring Car Championship in the US for the PlayStation and PC.

The game is set to offer all the cars, drivers, and teams of the 1997 season of TOCA, which is basically the European equivalent to NASCAR. Cars featured in the game include the Nissan Primera, Peugeot 406, Renault Laguna, Honda Accord, Audi A4, Volvo S40, Ford Mondeo, and Vauxhall Vectra.

Gameplay options run the standard gamut of championship, single race, and time trail modes over world-famous racetracks that include Silverstone, Donington, Brands Hatch, Croft, Oulton Park, Knockhill, Snetterton, and Thruxton.

The game supports one to two players for the PlayStation via split-screen and one to eight for the PC.

The following shots are from the PlayStation version of the game, which is currently available on the demo disc of The Official U.S. PlayStation Magazine.

Look for the PlayStation version to hit in September and the PC version sometime after that.
