Ordinarily when companies want to generate buzz bymaking an announcement, they do it with a teaser Web site, a countdown clock, or some other meaningless "heads-up" to the gaming community. Apparently EA has grown tired of that tack, because the publisher today sent out a press release plainly stating that EA Montreal will unveil a new game on March 12.

The publisher sent out a press release today inviting investors and media to EA Montreal on March 9 for a live demonstration of an unannounced game in development at the studio. Unfortunately, all the information related to that demonstration is embargoed until March 16. However, EA said it will officially announce the game in question March 12.

Currently, EA Montreal is working on Need for Speed Nitro for the Wii and DS. Previous releases from the studio include Skate It for theWii and DS and its debut title, Army of Two, for theXbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
