Electronic Arts has announced the shipment of Triple Play Baseball 2002 for the Sony PlayStation 2. The game features all 30 major league ballparks, including the new Miller Park in Milwaukee and PNC Park in Pittsburgh. The game offers four primary modes of play: single game, season, playoffs, and big league challenge.

"I've played video games for years, and I am very excited to be working with EA Sports," Jason Giambi, Oakland Athletics first baseman and Triple Play Baseball 2002 cover athlete, said. "The graphics in their games are so lifelike. It's amazing how real everything looks, right down to the swing of my bat. It's also cool to be among guys like Alex (Rodriguez), Sammy (Sosa), and Mike (Piazza) who've been on the cover. Triple Play will be a huge hit with the guys in the clubhouse."

Triple Play Baseball 2002 for the PS2 carries a suggested retail price of $49.95. Versions of the game are also available for the PlayStation and the PC platform.
