EA's digital event scheduled for June 11 has been pushed back by a week out of respect for ongoing racial justice protests.

EA Play Live, the livestreamed event being held in absence of EA's regular E3-adjacent festivities, has been delayed. The event had been scheduled to begin on June 11, but in light of ongoing racial justice protests, the company has decided to push back the event. It is now scheduled to begin on June 18 at 4 PM PT.

"With the important conversations taking place and important voices being heard around the world right now, we're moving our time to come together in play," reads the statement from EA.

EA also issued a statement announcing monetary donations and volunteer programs company-wide. It's one of several high-profile companies including Sony, Microsoft, and Marvel that have issued statements of solidarity.

Several companies that had been planning events or announcements have pushed them back out of respect for the protests against police brutality and racial injustice. GameSpot encourages you to donate or volunteer time to organizations, and our summer gaming event Play For All has expanded its focus to include lack Lives Matter as well.

Oh, that's just perfect!

Give first-person-shooter gamers a reason to be even more racist than they already are!

Thanks, EA!

You see this is how you can be sensitive by the circumstances and giving some time to other voices to be heard but at the same time keeping in mind "The Show Must Go On" and so is your business by rescheduling as soon as possible.

Meanwhile Sony is using it as an excuse to keep hiding the fact that they are NOT fully ready to show anything.....lol

Like this useless Publisher has anything else to show but talk and try to fool y'all for the 2nd time about how great Anthem rework is gonna be.

EA, Activision and Ubi are the useless trio that do nothing else but regurgitate sequels to shitty franchises.
