EA killing Online Passes for existing games

That's because MS and Sony are doing the dirty work for them.

I can still play the original unreal tournament online. Yet EA charges online activation fees...pathetic. If your concerned about the servers then open it up and let players make their own like EPIC and unreal tournament 3. It's purely about control.

Wow EA, what a tremendous gift to the consumers...allowing us to play potentially used copies for free....at least for 6-8 months when you close all the the current gen game servers. That totally makes up for the coming DRM gen...we totally wont punish your DRM-gen sales because of all the good will that 6 months of "free" content provides. Oh, oh....I almost forgot the majority of buyers will totally not boycott your games until you are forced to drop the prices....we totally promise to buy right at the 8 week launch period...we double-promise because of how nice you were. COME ON....SERIOUSLY?

Of course they are killing online passes... they already killed old game servers... so... you don't need an online pass to play in a server that doesn't exist!

Making small steps to being just a little better

First of all, when I buy a game, it's my game and I should be able to do with it what I want.

They already know the next-gen games will screw gamers and they're letting console manufacturers take the heat. So EA figures it has a chance to look like they care about player feedback, meanwhile they're pushing Microsoft & Sony to kill off used games next-gen.

So what about all those people who purchased an EA title second hand and then had to pay $15-20 for an online pass just to play multiplayer?? Half these games came out over a year back so you've milked as much money out of them anyway - this removal of the online pass system is hardly doing us a favour because nobody gives a toss about these titles anymore...

EA, you may think that this move may win you sympathy and make the consumer support you again but you still remain to one of the greediest corporations in existence.

Regardless of the Xbox One flak. This is a big move because this actually features dozens of games you can play on older consoles. It's a win for some folks I'm sure.

When it comes to EA, Piracy is our sword and SKIDROW is our shield.
