EA Announces Alice

EA officially announced some details regarding its upcoming 3D action-horror adaptation of Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland. In celebration of the announcement, the company launched the first phase of its web site with a sinister-looking Cheshire Cat, who will reveal more information about the game over the course of the next few weeks.

From what we know so far, the game will put players in control of a tough Alice tossed into a not-so-nice Wonderland.

The title is being developed by Dallas-based Rogue Entertainment with ex-id software designer American McGee producing and directing from EA's home in Redwood City, Calif. Alice's release is scheduled for sometime in late 2000.
