E3-Like Event From The Guerrilla Collective Postponed
In order to ensure the Black Lives Matter movement continues to have a platform, Guerilla Collective is being delayed.
Guerrilla Collective--an online digital games festival--has been delayed. Originally scheduled for June 6-8, the event will now occur June 13-15 in support of Black Lives Matter.
In a statement on Twitter, Guerrilla Collective's organizers wrote: "The Guerrilla Collective came together to create a space where all find a voice to support each other, our industry, and our work. It is the cumulative effort of incredibly diverse teams unified in the creation of a digital event to bring hope and positive content to the world. We recognize this is a time for action and for voices speaking out for justice and change to be heard. We stand united for change, for justice, and in support of Black Lives Matter."
A livestream for June 7 is being prepared, and it will focus exclusively on showcasing games made by black creators or featuring black protagonists. More details on these plans will be revealed soon.
