E3 2019: Ni No Kuni Remastered For PS4 And Xbox One Leaks

The leak-end is here.

In a series of pre-E3 2019 leaks involving publisher Bandai Namco's lineup, a remaster of Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch has been revealed ahead of its official announcement. Additionally, the original version of the game may also be headed to Nintendo Switch.

According to Direct-Feed Games on Twitter, "Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch Remastered is coming to PS4 and Xbox One in Fall 2019." Direct-Feed Games also noted that Ni no Kuni would be coming to Nintendo Switch in Fall 2019 according to the leak, though it appears that may not be a remastered version.

Now Playing: The History Of E3

This leak comes on the heels of several others, all from publisher Bandai Namco. One is the previously rumored collaboration between A Song of Ice and Fire (Game of Thrones) author George R.R. Martin and From Software, apparently called Elden Ring. The other is a new entry in the Tales of series, Tales of Arise.

The first Ni no Kuni originally released on PS3 in 2013 in the West and is known for its animation by the renowned Studio Ghibli.

It's unclear when all of this news was intended to be announced. The From Software project was rumored to be slated for Microsoft's E3 press conference on Sunday; that seems like the most likely event given that Sony is not at E3. We should know more soon--check out when everything is coming in our E3 press conference schedule.

This game was decent and better the second game but I don't think I can double dip on it.

Wow,that came out of nowhere...pretty happy about this.

Neato~!

I still have my PS3 out, with this being a go-back-to game....but ever since my nephew saved over half my progress I lost interest in replaying back from the Hamlet City.

With NNK 2 out on PC, I had hoped that this would come around.

@gargungulunk: I got stuck at the final boss during its final phase. Must've died over a hundred times before I gave up and watched the ending on youtube haha.

@cboye18:

Yea the game was deceptively hard at times. When it came out I had the time to get into it, but that's not so much the case these days (read: 2 y/o daughter). I still want to go further into this game and explore all the map locations and get more a sense of the end-game.

@Thanatos2k: It looked top notch on PS3... But now it'll be on Xbox One. I don't think I'll buy it anyway. I own it on PS3 no need to buy it a second time especially since it's in cell shading. Game already looks very beautiful

@LVT_PTA_PB: Gamespot is assuming that it will come to XBOX One. If you read all of their Twitter posts they post that it may not come to XBOX One and my guess is it won't.

Ni No Kuni and Demon's Souls on PS4? Just port NieR and the PS3 is useless.

@LVT_PTA_PB: it would be a horrible idea considering it was the worst souls game by far, not to mention the assinine moral system where only certain paths opened up and speaking from an online point of view the stats had to be just right for certain paths and items, and ultimetly tropheys unlocked. no thanks.

@LVT_PTA_PB: Not confirmed, but it is rumored (very likely) to be Bluepoint's next remake.

@tenfour04: They can follow whatever Nintendo did for the hd version of the wind waker. Seems a little weird coming out now when the game came out a few months before the new console's, but maybe they can make it look amazing since they've gotten adept at making games for them.

@tenfour04: Easy. Copy paste program codes and import dualshock 4 diagram to display in the settings where you look for the controls of the game. lol

I really didn't enjoy this much. Never finished it. The world was super cute, but I did not enjoy the gameplay

@xantufrog: I felt the opposite. The unique combat system and steep difficulty kept me hooked. It's the sequel with the rather mindless hack'n slash combat and weak character development that felt like a letdown.

Really tired of remakes/ports. Nothing really fresh these days. Gaming is just not what it once was.

@cybuster_88: New AAA games take way too much time, money and risks to develop these days.

It sucks but there's nothing you can do about it. Proper remastering/remaking of those old great games can still evoke a fresh experience, especially for younger gamers.

@cboye18: I dunno. It's true that games are more and more realistic these days and may take longer to develop these days, but with with all the fancy technology we have these days I would think it would all balance out. The sixth generation of gaming was probably my favorite gen, and yet, even though games took a while to create back then, we still got quality gaming and lots of new series in Jak and Daxter, Ratchet and Clank, Splinter Cell, God of War, Halo, Prince of Persia reboot, a new look at Metroid with the Prime series, etc. But what do we get now? Even the last gen had Uncharted and Assasin's Creed.

And I agree about the younger gamers but this game isn't even that old. And why not focus on remaking bad games into good ones? It may just be me, but I was never crazy about playing a game I've already beaten and played to death just because it is prettier.

@cybuster_88: It's way more risky to try to sell a previously "bad" product than to sell nostalgia on a already good product. Plus it's more work too.
