During the company's E3 2019 press conference, Square Enix released a new trailer for Dragon Quest Builders 2. The Minecraft-like game sees you explore the setting of Dragon Quest, building your way to a better world.

The trailer details many of the gameplay mechanics for the upcoming game. In Dragon Quest Builders 2, you'll explore ruins, mines, and castles, dive into lakes, rivers, and oceans, and climb mountains. Your goal is to discover treasure and unravel the mystery of the fantasy land you find yourself in. There's also the hate-filled Children of Hargon to defeat and captured builders in need of saving.

As your journey continues, you'll unlock new skills and discover methods for building new types of structures. The world is vast, and it hides many secrets, crafting recipes, and riddles to solve. And when the going gets tough, you'll have to fight.

Of course, it's not all action and exploration. You need to make a home for the builders you save so cultivating gardens and farming food is essential. If you're having trouble, you don't have to go it alone. Up to four people can play Dragon Quest Builders 2 via online co-op play.

Dragon Quest Builders 2 is getting a playable demo. It's coming to the PlayStation Store on July 12.
