E3 2018: New Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle Trailer Shows More Donkey Kong

Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle had a surprise appearance at Ubisoft's E3 press conference. Ubisoft announced that the game would be getting a new Donkey Kong-themed expansion called Donkey Kong Adventure.

Donkey Kong Adventure brings more characters, enemies, levels, and bosses to Kingdom Battle. A new trailer, accompanied by a live musical performance, detailed how Mario and company come to meet Donkey Kong. Once he joins the heroes' quest, the group quickly runs into friendly Rabbid characters as well, each one dressed as a different DK character.

The trailer went on to showcase the new types of enemies and bosses that players will see in the new expansion, before promoting the abilities of the new characters that gamers will be able to play as. The characters who received the most attention are Donkey Kong, who seems to use his trademark bongs to create musical area-of-effect attacks, and Rabbid Cranky Kong, who utilized support attacks like putting enemies to sleep.

Mario + Rabbid Kingdom Battle: Donkey Kong Adventure is scheduled to release later this month on June 26.

Also at E3 2018, Ubisoft also announced raids for The Division 2 and wowed audiences with the first official look of Assassin's Creed Odyssey.
