We learned a lot about Assassin's Creed: Odyssey today at E3 2018, including details on the game's various editions. In addition to the standard version, you will be able to spend extra on the Deluxe, Gold, and Ultimate Editions. Here is a breakdown of what's included in each:

  • Standard ($60) -- You know, all the standard stuff.
  • Digital Deluxe ($80) -- Extra gear packs and a "naval pack." Also XP and currency boosts.
  • Physical Gold ($100) -- Season pass and early access to Odyssey starting on October 2 (and presumably the Deluxe content).
  • Ultimate ($120) -- Season pass and all Deluxe edition content, along with early access starting on October 2.

There are also Spartan Collector ($160) and Pantheon ($220) versions available that also include physical content like statues and the soundtrack. There is also the sweet-looking Alexios statue that costs a jaw-dropping $750. This statue, which is part of the Ubicollectibles line, stands 68cm tall and shows the character in a fighting pose on a Medusa base. He's wearing the famous Hero of Sparta outfit and wields the Broken Spear of Leonidas. Only 1,900 are being made, and they are only being sold through the Ubisoft Store. In Odyssey, you can choose to play as Alexios or Kassandra, but it doesn't appear that Ubisoft made a statue for Kassandra.

You can see a full rundown of what's in all of these different versions here on Ubisoft's website.

Everyone who pre-orders Odyssey will get access to another mission called "The Blind King," though there are no details about what you'll do in this mission were shared.

Odyssey launches on October 5 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. There will be unspecified "enhancements" for the Xbox One X and PS4 Pro versions.

The new Assassin's Creed game is set in Ancient Greece in the 5th Century BCE, which is the furthest back in time the Assassin's Creed series has ever gone. For the first time in franchise history, you get to decide who you want to play as, either Alexios or Kassandra.

Additionally, player choice has more of an emphasis in Odyssey. You can make dialogue choices, some of which alter the story, Ubisoft said. There is also the option to pursue romantic relationships by making the right dialogue choices to earn their favour.
