E3 2018: 45 Stunning Cyberpunk 2077 Screenshots From New Trailer
High-style cyberpunk.
We finally got a look at Cyberpunk 2077 at Microsoft's E3 2018 press conference, and the first trailer did not disappoint. While we didn't see any actual gameplay, what we got was an incredible scene-setter. In Cyberpunk 2077, you play as V, a hired gun on the rise, who just got their first serious contract.
In the trailer above, the narrator talks about their city: a place where poverty and social issues have made it a terrible place to live, and yet everyone continues to flock to the metropolis. Through the trailer, we encounter "cyber-enhanced street warriors, tech-savvy netrunners, and corporate lifehackers," and a world where punk-stylized figures fight on the streets. Visually, the game looks bright, vibrant, and brutal. We've pulled some of the stunning images below from the trailer, so check out the gallery.
Cyberpunk 2077 was first announced six years ago, and is roughly based on Mike Pondsmith's tabletop game Cyberpunk 2020. Developer CD Projekt Red is promising a nonlinear story designed for "mature" players and is set in the metropolis of Night City.
Developer CD Projekt Red has said it has taken steps to stress that Cyberpunk 2077 is a "true RPG" and definitely not a multiplayer shooter, even though it will have a form of multiplayer. The game doesn't have an official release date yet, bit it will come out on Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
