What was with that Twitch stream? Constant freezes and lag and major audio problems.

That was my first and last time using Twitch. Holy crap that was frustrating!

@mlauber: yea twitch was really bad during sony conference. i went to youtube it was perfect there. about 20 sec behind twitch stream but atleast no audio or video problems.

Wow Bethesda..... wow.... what's next skyrim on calculators? I've got a lot of love for BGS but enough is enough. Just played skyrim special edition for over 400 hours and I bought the collectors edition of the original game on the release night... I get they're trying to give VR users something but ffs...its a great game and so is FO4 but at this point it kinda seems like a cash grab...

Monster Hunter: Worlds is my second most wanted game from e3. Could have been my top spot, if I didn't have so many questions about the game.

Shadow of the Colossus remake has my interest but nothing more, if it's just a visual upgrade? I'm not getting it_

Everything else I just raised an eyebrow, didn't catch my interest but overall I think Sony offered a lot for everyone.

@RSM-HQ: I still prefer the format of the presentation to most E3 conferences. It was only about an hour long, but only about 10 minutes of it were dedicated to having a person on stage.

That aside, I agree with you. Now that the hype of the reveal is gone, I have a lot of questions about Monster Hunter World. Will it be the console companion to the "main" games on handheld? Are they going with a subscription model (I doubt it, with the drop-in coop)? Is it online-only?

@Yomigaeru: I hope for none of the latter :O

A lot of very cool trailers but apart from GT Sport (no longer the premier racing brand) SONY didn't show us any fully fledged, AAA release for 2017. GOW, Detroit, Spiderman and Shadow are all for 2018 and considering some of these games have bene doing the round for 2 years, I am not pleased.

i wish no ill will toward the xb1x, but sony proved once again it's all about the games. they came out guns blazing. i was very impressed with sony's lineup.

@tarheelsforever: Surely Sea of Thieves looked good to you right?

Avatar image for tarheelsforever

@RSM-HQ: God of War 4 and Days Gone looked VERY good to me.

Avatar image for RSM-HQ
RSM-HQ

@tarheelsforever: God of War 4 doesn't look like the same genre, so I'm sceptical.

Might be the first in the series I pass-on. But after the fail that was Ascension they had to do something I guess.

Days Gone just looks like a Call of Duty Zombie mode on steroids, I get the appeal but it's not for me personally.

Avatar image for tarheelsforever

@RSM-HQ: i actually prefer the more narrative based direction GOW 4 seems to take.

Avatar image for RSM-HQ

@tarheelsforever: It'll probably be a nice game for you then :)

Personally would liked GoW to go back to how they did things in GoW3 and work more on the combat. Oh well, I'm sure a good new Hack n' Slash won't be far off. Already been spoilt with Nier and Nioh.

Avatar image for tarheelsforever

@RSM-HQ: im assuming youve played Bloodborne since you like Nioh. am i right?

Avatar image for RSM-HQ
RSM-HQ

@tarheelsforever: Bloodborne is an awesome game finished it a total of six times. But I was never a fan of; at times its very choppy frame rate. And the Bell-system only worked with a minimal success-rate.

Bloodborne to me was the engine that would make Dark 3 a reality so I like BB for what it did. Fun game, slick combat, but far from perfect.

@tarheelsforever: Dude nearly 1/3 of what they showed they had shown before. Another 1/3 were VR games for which 90% of the playerbase can't play unless they buy the VR crap. This was a pathetic showing from Sony.

Avatar image for tarheelsforever
tarheelsforever

@spartanx169x: who cares if they had been shown before? they were AAA titles that HAVENT been released yet. i dont understand your logic.

Avatar image for spartanx169x
spartanx169x

@tarheelsforever: Who cares? I care, I want to see new IPs. 1/3 was a rehash. Hardly anything to get excited about. I've had my PS4 since its launch. and I have yet to see a game worth rushing out and spending $60 for But will say horizon Zero dawn might be worthy, but thats already been out. But for all the sony fanboy crap on this site as well as others, the show last night was absolutely nothing to get excited about.

Avatar image for tarheelsforever
tarheelsforever

@spartanx169x: im not a fanboy. i actually have nothing against xbox. i just like playstation better. and you "have yet to see a game worth rushing out and spending $60 for" ??? you must not like good games.

Avatar image for spartanx169x
spartanx169x

@tarheelsforever: What is good is entirely a matter of opinion. I just am not going to spend top dollar($60+) just because it gets a lot of hype. Also there is a cost benefit to each game, If I only spend $20, then I will have lower expectations than if i had spend$60. here are a few $60 games - Borderlands 2, Dying light-The Following, Shadow of Mordor(all complete editions of course). Sony does have some good games coming, as I said the problem with the show last night is we already know they are coming, I want to know what else is coming and apparently not much from anybody. Out of the whole conference so far, I've seen 1 NEW previously unannounced IP that has got my curiosity up, but even that I'm not sold on.

Aside from the new xbox1x I'd say the whole of e3 has been a little underwhelming this year. Not owning a xbox1 I'll probably pick this up to compliment the PS4, which incidentally still has way better games in the works, but aside from that nothing that really jumped out and said take my coin now. I guess as some of these releases get a little closer I'll get a little more pumped. Didn't see any of the new Star Wars games being worked on aside from BF2.

The COD WWII looks impressive. Original COD 1, 3, World at War were awesome and this game for next gen should bring back a lot of COD fanbase. Destiny 2 looks good from previous clips but this trailer doesnt do it justice.

This is such a disappointing year! Better than Microsoft's conference but it still wasn't anywhere near as good as last years.

@graffitiheart: I would disagree but everyone has different games that excite them, two big games got revealed at this e3 and I am beyond happy. . . In fact think I need to lay down lol.

Avatar image for sealionact

@graffitiheart: just curious...and I'm not looking for a flame war here, but how do you rate Sony's E3 to be better?

Avatar image for deactivated-5afeea4d8be41

@sealionact: I just preferred what they showed. Both were disappointing so I'd hardly call it a win for Sony.

Avatar image for tarheelsforever

@sealionact: ill intervene and say BETTER GAMES!

Avatar image for sealionact

@tarheelsforever: I'm serious. Sony showed 21 games while MS showed 44. Ms showed a new console, and announced free BC with og Xbox, as well as deals that had games coming first to Xbox. I'm honestly more excited about Forza and Ori than anything else on offer, but there was only some dlc for horizon that really peaked my interest from Sony.

What am I missing?

Avatar image for tarheelsforever

@sealionact: the sound and video wasnt a sony problem that was all on twitch. i had it up on twitch and youtube. youtube had no problems whatso ever video and sound was perfect from start to finish. twitch kepts lagging and sound quality was terrible.

@tarheelsforever: Ehh, I liked Microsoft's show better. More games, more gameplay, more stuff we hadn't seen before, and a new system reveal. I'm sure Sony showed more exclusive stuff, but that doesn't matter when you can afford to buy either system.

Avatar image for marcusi23

@Mogan: i liked Microsoft conference but Microsoft didnt give me a reason to buy an xbox console if i didnt have one. every game Microsoft showed where launch exclusives which means they will be on other consoles within months. or exclusive with pc which nowadays most gamers have a capable pc even if they have to play on low setting. microsoft doesnt have 1 game where you have to buy and xbox if u want to play.

With Sony they had exclusives where if you dont have a ps4 then your shit out of luck on games like god of war, uncharted, spiderman, days gone. now people have to go out and buy a ps4. and thats the point of e3 for companies to showcase and convince the consumer (US) to buy that console or that game.

I think microsoft showed more but i think Sony did the smart thing and showed less. Why because they knew this e3s big story was going to be hands down about microsoft new console addition and Sony didnt want alot of AAA titles that werent going to be released this year overshadowed by xbox one x. i think will see alot more exclusive AAA titles from sony this december when they hold their special playstation experience every year.

Avatar image for mogan
Mogan

@marcusi23: ^You're probably right about why Sony didn't show as much. PSX will probably be pretty big because of it. I don't really judge these conferences as who made me want to buy their system more so much as I do who showed me more stuff I'm interested in and how much fun I have watching them.

I've got a good PC, so I'll probably get a PS4 Pro before I get an Xbox One X, but most of Sony's exclusives don't do a whole lot for me right now. God of War looks cool, I kiiind of want Horizon, but the Crash Remakes are weirdly the thing I want most on PS4 at the moment.

@sealionact: Gamespot was using there own player to stream it (one of the worst on the internet) Like i said, not one issue watching it on Youtube.
