Today during a special video event at E3, Platinum Games revealed that upcoming Wii U-exclusive Bayonetta 2 will feature mechs. A short video clip showed Bayonetta in a machine, performing various melee and spin attacks. The mech moves faster than you might imagine, too.

"This is a side of Bayonetta that we haven't seen before!" Nintendo wrote on Twitter. YouTube channel NinEverything captured the presentation, originally hosted on Nintendo's Treehouse livestream.

Bayonetta 2 is the latest major game to feature mechs, following previously released games like Titanfall and Hawken. Upcoming FPS Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare will also feature mechs.

Due out this October, Bayonetta 2 comes bundled with a digital copy of the original Bayonetta, which was released on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in 2010.
