E3 2014: Bloodborne Is Coming to PS4 Straight From the Minds of Dark Souls

From Software announces their next ultra-difficult game.

Bloodborne! Sorry for the exclamation point, but it's hard to talk about a new game developed by From Software without screaming with delight. We've finally see the official reveal of Project Beast, a game who we first glimpsed a couple months ago when it was leaked. But now we know the name, and that it is, in fact, real. Directed by Hidetaka Miyazaki, who was the creative director of Demon's Souls and Dark Souls, Bloodborne is his next project that is sure to make me squirm and scream and cheer with joy.

Unfortunately, there's no information on what to expect because the trailer was all CG. But it is coming out next year, so prepare to die.

Looks like it's time to start saving for a PS4.

However, we don't know if the game will be an action RPG, just action, etc. Most of what I love about the Souls series involves how you interact with other players in unconventional ways. Further, I love how you can customize your character's abilities and skills as you play the game. The non-linearity and multiple paths to the end also contribute much to my love for the game.

I'm definitely betting all-in on Bloodborne.

Also, to the person who commented first, I find DS2 superior in nearly every respect to the previous games in the Souls series. Each subsequent game just impresses me even more.

Dark Souls 2 is incredibly unbalanced, easier than the previous two games by a long shot, and fails in many respects. That includes the online.

I booted up Demon Souls again recently, i could not put Dark Souls 2 back in my ps3. It now sits on my shelf in its armored case. The chance i will ever pull it down and play it again is very very low.

Yes but dark souls 2 is quite a bit easier than dark souls in my opinion.

<< LINK REMOVED >> I hear this a lot, but I can't imagine why. The enemies are more aggressive, the mob design is even more mob-like, and enemies generally deal more damage. Some standard enemies have unparryable attacks (and these enemies likely appear in mobs) The game has more 2v1 or 3v1 bosses, and your rolling invulnerability is now tied to a stat, so the game expects more precision from players if they don't level that stat. Show DS and DS2 side by side to a new player, and I guarantee they'll find DS2 harder.
