E3 2011: Tomb Raider due fall 2012
Crystal Dynamics announces release window for reboot Lara Croft game; coming to Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC next year.
LOS ANGELES--Today during Microsoft's 2011 Electronic Entertainment Expo media briefing, Crystal Dynamics announced that the recently announced Tomb Raider reboot game will ship next fall.
At the show, developer Crystal Dynamics showed a new demo for the game, where a grunting Lara Croft was seen running through wet caverns to escape a crazed and dangerous pursuer.
As for the game, Tomb Raider will be an "origin story." It will tell the tale of how Lara Croft came to be the crafty, nimble adventurer at the center of previous games. Unfortunately, further details surrounding the title are still extremely few and far between.
