LOS ANGELES--Microsoft isn't the only publisher using the 2011 Electronic Entertainment Expo to announce a new dancing game. French publisher Ubisoft today announced Just Dance 3, the latest entry in the popular dancing series.

The game is pegged to arrive on the Wii, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3 on October 11, 2011. It will be the first entry in the series to be released outside of the Wii, and will support Kinect and PlayStation Move for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 iterations of the game.

As for the game, Just Dance 3 will sport 40 tracks spanning multiple genres of music including rock, pop, hip-hop, disco, rap, funk, and others. Additionally, Ubisoft promises that Just Dance 3 will "introduce new game features," though none were named.

The Just Dance series has sold over 10 million units since premiering with 2009's tepidly reviewed original. That game was followed by the much-improved Just Dance 2, which has sold 5 million copies.
