Rare's Banjo-Kazooie is set to make its first appearance on the Xbox 360 later this year, and according to the Microsoft E3 conference, the game will hit this holiday season. To celebrate, Microsoft showed off a new trailer from the game at the presentation, and it featured a new create-a-vehicle mode alongside what appeared to be minigames.

The trailer itself started with prerendered footage in which Banjo could be seen running around and collecting rubbish. After that, we jumped straight into the action and saw some of the land, air, and sea-based racing in the game. But the key feature is set to be your ability to create vehicles in the game, which was shown briefly in the video as someone used the in-game tools to build a tank.

One other cool feature of the game was what appeared to be the minigames. It looked as if Banjo was flying into a circular platform filled with dominos, with the goal to knock down as many blocks as possible. At the end of the demo, we were also told that Microsoft is set to release the original Nintendo 64 Banjo-Kazooie on Xbox Live, a move that is sure to please fans of the Rare classic.

Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts is set for release in Q4 2008, and you can expect more information when E3 itself kicks off tomorrow.
