UK developer and publisher Rage has announced that it has entered into a three-year licensing agreement with Lamborghini, one of the world's most popular car manufacturers, to produce an exclusive range of officially branded Lamborghini video games across all current console formats. The Lamborghini games currently under development by Rage will be the only video games to feature the entire range of Lamborghini cars past and present, and the titles are being developed with help from Lamborghini's chief designers and technicians.

The game will allow players to join the Lamborghini Millionaires Club and race in a series of leagues set in exotic locations around the world. Members can indulge in high-stakes challenges to build up a collection of cars, and they can also obtain rare and collectable vehicles by entering special challenges where large sums of money and cars may be won and lost.

It should also be noted that in addition featuring single- and multiplayer modes, the upcoming Xbox version of the Lamborghini game will be Rage's first broadband-capable racing game designed for Xbox Live, the multiplayer functionality of the Xbox. This will allow players to take their collection of cars online and compete with other drivers from around the world.

Rage's first Lamborghini game will be officially unveiled at the 2002 E3, and it is scheduled for release on the Xbox, PS2, and GameCube in winter 2003. We'll have more from the show floor.
