E3 2002: Microsoft shows off Panzer Dragoon trailer

At Microsoft's press conference this evening it showed off the first gameplay footage of Sega's upcoming Xbox exclusive game. Shown alongside footage of Lucasarts' Knights of the Old republic, and the upcoming first-party developed game, Blinx the Time Sweeper, Panzer Dragoon Orta appears to be a title Microsoft is positioning as one of its big holiday titles. The footage began with a montage featuring snippets of the original trilogy of Panzer Dragoon games from the Saturn and segued into the Xbox game which looked stunning. The clips showcased an impressive sense of scale, offering glimpses of huge vistas and dramatic battles against twisted creatures that featured smooth animation.

Panzer Dragoon Orta is slated to appear in the Microsoft booth on the E3 show floor. Look for much more on the game shortly.
