E3 2001 Preshow Report: First Look at Silent Scope 2: Dark Silhouette

Konami has confirmed our previous reports by unveiling Silent Scope 2: Dark Silhouette for the Sony PlayStation 2. For those unfamiliar with the arcade version of the game, the objective in Silent Scope 2 is to assume the role of an elite antiterrorist operative who has been hired to snipe and neutralize terrorist groups in several European locations, ranging from London's River Thames to the Swiss mountain ranges.

Konami currently has no plans to release a gun peripheral for the PlayStation 2. However, the game should be compatible with Namco's GunCon, which will be released with the newly announced Time Crisis 2 for the PS2. Silent Scope 2 will be released this fall.
