We get the scoop directly from the horse's mouth.

During an interview we were conducting with Westwood cofounder Louis Castle, we learned that the company's latest real-time strategy game, Emperor: Battle for Dune, has gone gold. In fact, the 3D RTS was completed a few weeks ago, and it was shipped off to manufacturing on Wednesday, May 16. According to Castle, the game should start appearing on store shelves during the first week of June.

Emperor: Battle for Dune gives you the option of playing one of three Dune factions--the House Harkonnen, House Ordos, and House Atreides--and it adds another level of strategy by implementing a tactical map that you'll have to consult before entering each mission.
