Finally a Tetris I can enjoy!

My wife and I played the PS1 version on my PS2 until our fingers bled. Then the PS2 died, I bought a "PSTwo", and the game doesn't work in it! I cannot WAIT for this to be released! If you've never played, this is not your typical puzzle game. As the multi-colored gems drop, you need to arrange them to build blocks of 4x4 or larger. Dropping a diamond on one of these blocks scores points for you, causes your character to perform a fighting move on your opponent, and also drops a pile of scattered gems on your opponent's screen. There is quite a bit of strategy since you may want to build giant blocks that destroy your opponent in one blow, or you might want to break smaller blocks as quickly as possible to keep the garbage falling on your opponent. I'm over-stimulated now... I need a beer and a nap.

best puzzle game aside of tetris

I cant wait, I have this game on PSP and GBA and remember falling in love with it on the Sega Saturn.

I like the Street Fighter Puzzle Fighter and Sailor Moon Puzzle Fighter. This is a game worth getting.

I wanna play SFA3 in HD... Now THAT would be sweet!

This is SO worth $10. I still break out my PS1 copy all the time when friends come over and is possibly the best head-to-head puzzle game ever made.

The features sound really kool and the HD feature really stands out... I think Street Fighter 4 is on it's way, but the way Street Fighter 3 didn't do really well at the arcades. Since Capcom are doing remakes in HD, i feel that it's a really good milestone for Capcom to make, I honstly think that Capcom are designing Street Fighter 4, but haven't gotten to the development stage yet.

Haven't you heard about the new 2D fighter from Capcom? I don't know what it is yet, but they're making one...

Just make a new hd streetfighter game already, with new animation, sprites, flashy finishers, combos, interactive backgrounds, 360 graphics, clothing textures, blood and a huge amount of characters to pick . what are you waiting for? why should i have to keep buying half a**ed renditions of the old games with the same sprites, i know capcom made a lot of money with resident evil, lost planet, devil may cry, dead rising and every streetfighter game they put out every year,. just give the people what we want, we are the ones who have to buy and play this stuff. do it for the fans. streetfighter 4 where are you?

It will be on PS3 also, not sure why it's just listed on the Xbox side of gamespot. Oh well been looking forward to this for a long time. Online play will be fun

Awesome!!! I love this game. I have it on my PS, GBA, PSP and soon on my 360. Although I'm hoping they do they same for Pocket Fighter.

Great game, but they really should've cleaned up the character sprites. It looks pretty rough in the XBLA montage I DLed from Marketplace.

Doesn't look good, those redrawn gems make the countdown numbers even harder to see...

Capcom is really lazy as hell. Can't they at least rescan the character sprites into High Def as well? When you sharpen everything else, the fighters become a blurry mess in comparison. If it weren't for the online play (and the new balanced mode), I'd stick to playing my PS1 version and save myself 10 bucks. I love this game, but I can't praise something that's half-assed done.

Sweet, I have fond memories of the original Puzzle Fighter. Kinda sucks that they didn't redraw the characters, but oh well. I"ll take what I can get.

Puzzle Fighter. Again. Whoop-de-doo. It's a great game, I'll give it that, but how many times do we really need it released?

This game was amazing on the Saturn back in the day, and I am fully expecting this version to be great

I've heard of the original, but never got a chance to play it, so I'm looking forward to when this remix comes out
