yeah why isn't anyone saying anything about copying? this totally looks like a psp/ps2 controller design. now both sony and nintendo are on the same page.

if nintendo doesnt package this with the console its going to be bad news because basically you cant play the virtual console without this so there goes a major selling peice of the WII

looks ok... i wonder how big it is though.. cant be too big, but the actual pad just looks too big for the buttons that are there. i'm not sure if i could play with analog sticks with out the prongs on the controller. but maybe it works, i would have to hold it first i guess

Cool. I was really worried at first about one of these not showing up. The new motion sensor control looks cool but us veteran gamers may take a while to adjust to that thing.

no offense but i coulda sworn i've seen this design before, oh yeah i think that it's called the Dual-something and oh yeah published by Sony or someone. (sry for being an ass) but i'm getting really sick and tired of people saying "oh sony copied nintendo with their motion sensors" when WHAT THE F**** IS THAT! THAT'S NOT INNOVATION! THE WIIMOTE IS INNOVATION but it is nessary to play the games

I DONT LIKE IT! The only cool thinga bout the GC control was how the left analog was up and +pad on below,now it is jus tas PS2 control...Xbox imporved the control,ps3 made it uglier and rev just meses it completly! That lookc prety sure it does,very "retro" but i expect it to be very unconfortable THANKS GOD FOR 3PARTY CONTROLS,someone wil make a good control for rev

I like this simple designe looks like a nice controller for most games im glad nintendo finally shows that there will be other controllers like this for there system I hope they come out with retro controllers lik,e wireless NES and SNES,N64,Gamecube that would be so awsome

They'd best include one or two with the Wii when you purchase it, or nobody will bother with the Virtual Console.

I will have to hold the controller and use it for a while to see if i like it or i can get use to it.Besides that it think it will be pretty good.

I like it! I'm not sure if it will be the controller shell that they spoke of though as the shell was supposed to be able to have the freehand controller sit inside it hence the word "shell". But it does have all the functionality of the Current Console controllers so 3rd parties who are not very creative with their control schemes will have something to work with.

Thought they where gona make a NORMAL looking gaming controller not a remote for a gaming system. Dual stick in the same spot as SONY PS CONTROLLERS Figures, the coping cycle continues Wii copies PS2, Ps3 copies Wii and 360, 360 and xbox copy PS2, Sony copies Sega, Sega copies Nintendo.

...So I guess this rules out the possibility of controllers from certain systems from the Virtual Console? I'd really like to see an N64 controller for playing some of those..... I just thought of something. If this is the aforementioned "shell" , and they don't make controllers for the Virtual Console (as bonuses, NOT NEEDED FOR PLAYING), then how would those games with memory card things and stuff work? Like the N64's version of Space Invaders, or the Pokemon Staduims (with the thingy you put R/B/Y/etc. in)?
