E3 06: Lego Star Wars sequel to 360

Earlier this year, LucasArts announced that it would be publishing Lego Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy this fall for the PlayStation 2, Xbox, GameCube, PC, PlayStation Portable, DS, and Game Boy Advance. But as the Jedi master Yoda himself might say, "No. There is another."

LucasFilm today announced that Lego Star Wars II would also be released for the Xbox 360 and that all versions of the game would arrive in stores September 12.

The launch of the Lego Star Wars sequel is part of a multipronged Star Wars promotion surrounding the next release of the original Star Wars trilogy of films on DVD. In response to fan demand, the first three films (Star Wars, The Empire Strikes Back, and Return of the Jedi) will be released individually on 2-disc DVD sets that include the original theatrical versions of the films "as special bonus material." Each set will also include the digitally restored and remastered versions of the films.

Hmm...isn't one of the bonus features the ability to read saves from the first game and import unlocked characters? My prediction: The 360 version will come with a ported/compatible version of the PT LEGO Star Wars.

wOOt!!! I can't wait for this game on the 360!!! I loved the first one on the Xbox. Points for playing with Legos is awesome. But where is the backwards compatible patch for the first one.

I'd like the PC version to have the Xbox 360 graphics. PC games are virtually infinitely backward-compatible. Along with the Xbox 360 controller connected to the PC, it'll be great.

I was watching the developer diary earlier today for this and wished man too bad no 360 ......Then I check back later and find this ;D first one was fun and with the new vehicle system and character building it looks like it's gonna be a alot of fun too,can't wait. Oh and the idea about jedi knight would rock heh.

Ok another kiddie game. But what about a Jedi Knight update???? I would think either the quake 4 or FEAR engine would look awesome? And hey George isn't a decade long enough between versions of x-wing???? And don't even mention the lame space combat in galaxies!
