LOS ANGELES--Eidos Interactive has announced a deal with Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment to distribute 300: March to Glory. The game is based on the film of the same name, and it's slated for release in North America and Europe in 2007 on the PlayStation Portable.

In the game, players will take on the role of the Spartan king Leonidas. According to legend, Leonidas held back the might of Xerxes and the entire Persian army with just 300 Spartan soldiers, which will translate into an action game with combat elements.

The game will offer players the chance to fight solo and with other soldiers as part of the historic phalanx formation. We'll have more details as they become available directly from E3.
