Dying Light Dev Wants Your Input for Upcoming Expansion

"No dick pics, please."

One of the missions in Dying Light's upcoming expansion, The Following, will be set in an abandoned post office with messages strewn across the floor. But developer Techland isn't writing those messages itself. Instead, the Polish studio is asking fans to send in their own ideas.

Techland's design team will pick their favorite messages and implement them in the game, giving full credit to the people who wrote them. The developer is looking for messages of distress, horror, or bravery. Basically, if you were trapped in a zombie-infested world, what would you write? And who would you send it to? You can submit your ideas--200 words max--to the Dying Light team on Facebook.

"We've already seen what fans can do when creating awesome stuff for us," producer Tymon Smektala said in a statement. "So we found a cool little way to let them actually be a part of the story and have their efforts and names appear in our game forever. Just no dick pics, please."

Submissions are open until October 1. The full terms and conditions for the contest are available here.

Dying Light launched in January and has sold 5 million copies. Looking beyond the upcoming Following expansion, Techland says it has ambitious ideas for a Dying Light sequel.
