Dying Light 2 Pre-Order Guide For PS4, Xbox One, PC (US)

Rage against the dying of the light.

Techland will take us back to the zombie-infested wasteland with Dying Light 2, the sequel to its 2015 open-world survival horror game, Dying Light. The original was well-liked for its rich worldbuilding and open-ended parkour movement mechanics, all of which will be expanded even further for the sequel. The game will be set 15 years after the events of the first game, during a "modern dark age" as humanity struggles to re-establish the security of civilization in a broken world. It will arrive on PS4, Xbox One, and PC in early 2020.

The Polish developer announced the title during Microsoft's E3 2018 press conference, alongside noted RPG designer and writer Chris Avellone, who serves as the game's narrative designer. The involvement of Avellone (noted for Planescape: Torment, Pillars of Eternity, and Into the Breach, among others) signals a much greater focus on choice and branching narrative than the first game. Player actions will have far-reaching consequences, fundamentally shaping the world of the game in sometimes unexpected ways.

Although the game does not yet have a release date more specific than early 2020, if you're eager to secure a copy already, we're here to help.

Dying Light 2 Pre-Order Bonuses

No pre-order bonuses have yet been announced for Dying Light 2, unlike the first game, which partitioned PvP multiplayer behind a general pre-order bonus, in addition to retailer-specific weapons and cosmetics.

Dying Light 2 Standard Edition

The standard edition will include the base game and any pre-order bonuses that might be announced later. Also take note that for whatever reason the game is slightly cheaper at Walmart, currently.
