Dune Generations beta sign-ups open

Cryonetworks is looking for players to test its upcoming massively multiplayer real-time strategy game.

Cryonetworks has opened the beta test sign-ups for its upcoming massively multiplayer online strategy game, Dune Generations. The company announced that the test, which will be in English only, will begin in December and may have a limited number of participants. Those interested in submitting an application to participate in the upcoming test may do so at the game's official Web site.

Dune Generations will let players assume control of a dynasty in the Dune universe. The goal of the game is to build the dynasty into the most powerful family in the universe and gain control of the planet Arrakis, the source of the most precious substance in the universe: spice. Players can choose to control one of three types of dynasties--traders, soldiers, or mercenaries--and each dynasty type provides a different playing experience.
