Duke Nukem: Land of the Babes for PlayStation Ships
"Hail to the king, baby" heard in retail stores nationwide.
The long awaited sequel to Duke Nukem: A Time to Kill from n-Space is now available for North American fans. Published by Infogrames, Land of the Babes once again puts players in the role of Duke Nukem. New weapons, garrisons of new enemies, high-res environments, and improved AI all herald the Duke's return to the PlayStation.
"Land of the Babes shoots high and scores a true milestone release in the Duke Nukem franchise," said Martin Currie, director of marketing for Infogrames. "It delivers mature, compelling gameplay via all-new features, including an innovative Duke survival system that replaces the typical health system found in all other games within the genre."
The game features 14 single-player worlds, four training arenas, six multiplayer maps, cinematic sequences including blooper outtakes, and a new "ego based" health system that will raise or deplete Duke's life bar depending on his in-game actions. Infogrames also says that the control has been tweaked from the previous game, making such necessary actions as swimming, opening doors, or climbing ladders more user-friendly.
The game carries a suggested retail price of US$39.99.
