Duck Dynasty Game Coming from Call of Duty Publisher

Activision to adapt controversial A&E show for Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3, PS4, and 3DS.

Call of Duty publisher Activision and network A&E have teamed up to create a game based on the controversial reality TV show, Duck Dynasty. As you can see in the game's debut trailer above, the main hook of the Duck Dynasty video game is that you can "become a Robertson" through activities like fishing, airboat racing, and of course, duck hunting.

A first-person duck-calling mode is also featured.

The game, which is called Duck Dynasty: The Video Game, launches October 14 for Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, and 3DS. Based on the box art for the 3DS version, it appears it will offer stylized visuals.

Duck Dynasty found itself in hot water late last year when patriarch Phil Robertson made controversial comments about gay people in a media interview. A&E initially suspended Robertson for what he said, but reinstated him just nine days later.

That's flat out untrue. Criticizing someone for the things they choose to say isn't hate, it's expression. Phil Robertson has as much to say what he wants as other people have to despise him for saying it. The First Amendment means the government can't place limits on what people say (except for "fire" in a theater). It doesn't apply to private businesses and it doesn't mean that people won't judge the speaker for those words. Freedom of expression does not mean freedom from responsibility.

People can hate whoever they want to hate. I don't personally like that but it's their right. At least the hate for Robertson is based upon his words and his deeds, the things that he is personally responsible for, and not because of how he was born or other things he can't control.

As for your use of the "liberal" as some pejorative straw man for your various interjections, it clearly shows that you are hating people with different opinions than you. That makes you a hypocrite. Notice, I didn't say "All conservatives are hypocrites." I said you. Now, I'm sure you'll say, "Here's a liberal making my point." But this isn't hate, this is pity. I pity you.

Sorry for the political rant everyone else. Gaming site. The game sounds like crap.

No if homosexuality is right that means Christianity is wrong, it can not be both ways. The new age infection of Christianity were everything goes in abandonment of the holy word is the downfall of western civilization. Time for true Christians to stand up and take up the sword in the name of God as Knights of Christ.

I dont fall for this new watered down "feel good" version the faith molded around modern politics.

But you have to take the Bible as God's word as it was written by He through man. So no, dinosaurs never existed, evolution is a fallacy, and everything above the clouds is God's domain, the Kingdom of Heaven. Science, b1tches!

My wife made me watch God's Not Dead over the weekend, so I'm annoyed with religion right now. She promised she would watch The Raid Redemption in return... She lied

Some of the book of Genesis is allegorical. The wonders of God are not so easy for men to comprehend so that is why it was written as such.

<< LINK REMOVED >> It isn't one side or the other, its becoming an ever increasing theme in our modern society to aggressively view anyone with opposing opinions as deeply wrong and to make accusations of "extremism".

Not everyone in the world hates everyone else. It is possible to accept that we have differences and can still function together as a society. Differences exist and I think it's just a matter of learning to accept it and how to work together regardless.

New age rubblish. A society has to have moral norms to function we can not pretend our actions have no effect on those around us. Should we accept drug addicts and pedophiles too?

<< LINK REMOVED >> Let me quote you so you can see the contradictions of your own statements:

1) "liberals hate anybody with an opinion different than their own"

2)" we can not pretend our actions have no effect on those around us"

Consider your own actions before you try to attack others' for theirs'. There is only one person we have real control over in the world, and only one we can truly hold accountable and that person is: Ourselves.

Lead by example, not aggression.

And in response to your description of "New age Rubbish", the word I think you are actually looking for is:

Empathy: "theintellectualidentificationwithorvicariousexperiencingofthefeelings,thoughts,orattitudesofanother." ( << LINK REMOVED >>)

<< LINK REMOVED >> Biblical moral norms included killing disobedient children, slavery, genocide, stoning adulterers to death, and an arkload of other barbaric atrocities. It's a very good thing that humanity has improved its moral norms dramatically since then, no thanks to religious fundamentalists. You can stick to your bronze age barbarism if that's what floats your boat, but society as a whole will continue to become more diverse, liberal, tolerant, and secular regardless.

The modern notions of slavery are not the same as back then, it's a bit much to get into but slaves actually had 3 meals a day and a safe bed to sleep in which was more than most people could say and were often considered part of the clan. It was just part of the world back then.

Right, and blacks were better off on the plantations. We've heard that song and dance before. Slavery is immoral, yet the Bible never saw fit to say "don't keep people as property." Go ahead and sell your daughters, just don't worship any other gods, or make any god pictures, or covet your neighbor's ox. I'll take "new age rubbish" over bronze age rubbish any day, thanks.

Not comparing it to 19th century slavery in America but back in Biblical times life were brutal and short and often the choice was become a slave or take your chances on your own and one might say slavery still exist it has just taken a different form

Besides, it's not really religion that is the problem. It is the choices made by individuals and the justifications they use to make them. We are all responsible for what we choose to do, together or independently.

I just want to point out that in one of your post you said that liberals hate those who do not share their views and that makes them extremists. Then you called them "mooslime" lovers. This confuses me because that shows that you, the conservative hates Muslims, and the liberals love them despite separate views. Odd
