According to multiple reports, PlayStation 4 launch title DriveClub may not be available when the console launches next month.

The Same Coin reported today, citing an anonymous source, that Evolution Studios' racing game is now scheduled to release in spring 2014.

The report was tempered with, "Treat this as 100% rumor for now."

A person familiar with Sony's plans told Kotaku that The Same Coin's report is indeed accurate and that DriveClub will now be released in spring 2014.

Kotaku also points out that Sony is holding a PS4 preview event in San Francisco today, where DriveClub was scheduled to appear. However, a Sony representative told the site that the game was removed from the lineup due to a "scheduling conflict."

Sony has not commented on the rumor.

DriveClub design director Paul Rustchynsky said on Twitter today, "Unfortunately guys I don't have any new information on DriveClub to share. I've been out if the office for a week looking after my newborn!"

Sony announced a special DriveClub PlayStation Plus Edition during the 2013 Electronic Entertainment Expo, a free version of the game available to subscribers when the PS4 launches.

Yesterday, Ubisoft delayed PS4 launch title Watch Dogs to spring 2014.
