DreamCatcher Plans PS and PS2 Game Releases
The PC-exclusive developer will bring several of its franchises to Sony's console platforms.
Long-standing PC developer DreamCatcher Interactive has announced that it has reached an agreement with Sony Computer Entertainment to develop games for the PlayStation and the PlayStation 2. The company will bring several of its high-profile franchises, including Dracula - The Resurrection, and other original game titles to the PlayStation in 2001. Specific regarding PlayStation 2 development was not announced, but several PS2 games will also be released in the new year.
"We are very excited about adding PlayStation games to our 2001 lineup," said Marshall Zwicker, vice president of sales and marketing at DreamCatcher. "DreamCatcher's success to date can be attributed to our commitment to bringing titles to market at prices that are affordable, without compromising content quality. We plan to continue this commitment as we enter the console game marketplace and we have an exciting and broad range of PlayStation games that we're working on in the adventure, kids, and action game categories."
Other DreamCatcher games, which have been released for the PC, include The Crystal Key and Beyond Atlantis.
