Dragon's Dogma spin-off heading to PS Vita
2D RPG slated for fall release in Japan; uses free-to-play model.
Capcom has announced a mobile spin-off to Dragon's Dogma called Dragon's Dogma Quest.
According to this week's issue of Japanese magazine Famitsu (via Siliconera), the game will be a 2D role-playing game using a free-to-play model and will be online-only. Like in the game it's based on, players can bring in a pawn to help them complete more than 150 jobs that take place in various dungeons, towns, and villages.
Up to four players can team up in an online session of Dragon's Dogma Quest. The article also said that the free-to-play model would be tailored for players who do not have a lot of free time to complete the game.
The game is slated for a fall release in Japan. There is no word on a North American or European release at this point. For more information on the main Dragon's Dogma titles, check out GameSpot's coverage.
