Strategy First has announced a North American publishing agreement for Dragon Throne: Battle of Red Cliffs, Object Software's latest real-time strategy game. The game is set in China at the end of the Han Dynasty--one of the most turbulent periods of Chinese history--and it lets players assume the role of one of three warlords trying to reunify the nation.

"We are pleased to have Object Software on board, " said Steve Wall, vice president of business development for Strategy First. "Dragon Throne's rich storyline educates us all about an infamous time in Chinese history and also provides us with hours of entertaining gameplay."

The game will include a unique multiple-map system that will let players oversee both the battlefield and the overall mission. It will also feature a variety of tactical management policies, an extensive technology tree, a realistic battle system, and a profession transfer system. In addition to the single-player mode, Dragon Throne will include multiplayer support over LAN and Internet connections.

Dragon Throne: Battle of Red Cliffs is in development at Object Software, the Chinese studio that created Fate of the Dragon, and it is scheduled for release later this year.
