Dragon Throne: Battle of Red Cliffs goes gold
Strategy First's latest real-time strategy game is complete and will soon ship to stores.
Strategy First has announced that Dragon Throne: Battle of Red Cliffs, its latest real-time strategy game, has gone gold and will soon be available in stores. The game, which is a follow-up to Fate of the Dragon, is set in China at the end of the Han Dynasty--one of the most turbulent periods of Chinese history. Players assume the role of one of three warlords--Liu Bei, Sun Quan, or Cao Cao--vying for control of the nation.
The game includes a multiple-map system that lets players oversee both the battlefield and the overall mission. It also features a variety of tactical management policies, an extensive technology tree, a realistic battle system, and a profession transfer system. In addition to the single-player mode, Dragon Throne will include multiplayer support over LAN and Internet connections.
Dragon Throne: Battle of Red Cliffs was developed by Object Software, the Chinese studio that created Fate of the Dragon. It will be available in stores the week of March 26 for an approximate retail price of $29.95. For more information, take a look at our previous coverage of the game.
