The Steam page is now live, showing a December 3 release and offering some details about the PC version. Square Enix seems to have dropped its long-winded subtitle--The World Tree's Woe and the Blight Below--in favor of the simpler Dragon Quest Heroes: Slime Edition.

Slime Edition is priced at $60, though if you preorder prior to launch you can save 10 percent, getting it for $54. Included for that price is the same game released on PS4, as well as 13 DLC items (two maps and 11 weapons).

The freebie DLC is listed below, along with the game's minimum and recommended system specs. One detail of note: You'll need a 64-bit operating system in order to play.

Free DLC:

  • Splat O'Nine Tails
  • Slime-On-A-Stick
  • Slime Sword
  • Gooreat Sword
  • Gungenir
  • Gooey Gloves
  • Happy Map
  • Goomerang
  • Goopid's Bow
  • Squishing Rod
  • Gold-Digger's Map
  • Fandangoos
  • Goolden Axe

Minimum specs:

  • OS: Windows 7/8/8.1/10 (64-bit required)
  • Processor: Core i7 870 2.8GHz or better
  • Memory: 4 GB RAM
  • Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTS 450 or AMD Radeon HD 5770
  • DirectX: Version 11
  • Hard Drive: 20 GB available space

Recommended specs:

  • OS: Windows 7/8/8.1/10 (64-bit required)
  • Processor: Core i7 2600 3.4GHz or better
  • Memory: 4 GB RAM
  • Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 650 Ti or AMD Radeon HD 7870

Heroes first launched in North America and Europe in October on PS4. Square Enix has said its success could determine whether or not more Dragon Quest games are localized in the West. For more, check out GameSpot's review.
