Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 2 - Character Profiles #3

Atari details more than 60 of the combatants appearing in its anime-inspired fighting game.

Recently released for both the PlayStation 2 and the Nintendo Wii, Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 2 is a 3D fighting game that is closely based on the Dragon Ball Z manga and anime. In addition to fast-paced combat, noteworthy features in Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 2 will include role-playing elements, environmental damage, and in-game character transformations. The most exciting feature of the game, however, is the roster of more than 100 playable fighters. This is particularly true if you're a big DBZ fan and in this our third and final character profile update for the game, Atari details a good number of the DBZ characters that you can pit against each other.

Chiaotzu
Chiaotzu is from a military family and hails from the Crane School. He is also an expert cook. He specializes in telekinesis and uses his psychic abilities to fix the results of the World Tournament lottery, among other things. Chiaotzu is devoted to his fellow student and role model, Tien. Wherever Tien goes, Chiaotzu is sure to be at his side. In the fight with Nappa, Chiaotzu made the ultimate sacrifice, self-destructing to save Tien. He actually only has one hair on his head.

Raditz
Raditz is one of the few surviving Saiyans and Goku's older brother. Raditz went to Earth to help with the planet's invasion and to persuade his younger brother Goku to join the Saiyans in their conquest. However, disappointed to discover that Goku had lost his memory and adjusted to life on Earth, Raditz kidnapped Gohan and tried to force Goku to become an ally.

Though in battle he mainly relies on brute strength, he also displays a cunning side, like when he pretended to reform his ways to make Goku drop his guard. Though Goku and the other Z-fighters were awestruck by Raditz's display of power, to the elite Saiyans like Vegeta and Nappa, Raditz is still considered a weak "low-class" soldier.

Vegeta
After the battle on Earth, Vegeta fights against Frieza on Planet Namek. In order to defeat him, Vegeta is forced to join Goku and the Z-fighters. After using the Dragon Balls to escape Planet Namek, he began living with Bulma's family on Earth. Vegeta's goal is to defeat Kakarot, and to this end he began to train tirelessly every day. At some point during his training, he developed a relationship with Bulma and Trunks was born.

Once having the cruel and fierce personality of a Saiyan warrior, he has mellowed a bit since living on Earth. However, because of his pride and his shame at becoming soft, he displays a cold attitude toward others, even his son Trunks, who came from the future. Much like Goku, he does not have much interest beyond fighting. He spends his days training and never holds any sort of "real job." This begins to annoy Bulma to some degree, but Vegeta pays her no mind. For him, beating Goku is all that matters.

Vegeta (Super Saiyan - Early Period)
This is Vegeta's Super Saiyan form. Vegeta drove himself to the breaking point, furious at his inability to surpass Kakarot no matter how fiercely he trained. This, however, proved to be the key, as it was his inner rage that allowed him to unlock his Super Saiyan abilities for the first time. When Vegeta transforms into a Super Saiyan, his outward appearance changes and his power level rises dramatically, but his personality is also affected. He becomes hyperaggressive and overly self-confident when in this state. The first time he appears in this form, he unveils his signature move, the Big Bang Attack.

Super Vegeta.
Super Vegeta.
Super Vegeta
This is Vegeta as an ascended Saiyan, having achieved a level between Super Saiyan and Super Saiyan 2. Vegeta's defeat at the hands of Android 18 served as a painful lesson that Super Saiyans were not invincible. Therefore, he reasoned, there must be a level beyond Super Saiyan. After a year's worth of severe training in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber, he was finally able to achieve this form. When transformed into Super Vegeta, his entire body becomes bigger, but he does not have the lightning-like aura associated with Super Saiyan 2. The first time Vegeta fought in this form, he used his unprecedented level of power to unleash a new signature attack, the Final Flash.

Zarbon
Zarbon is one of Frieza's top henchmen. His fearsome fighting abilities were demonstrated on Planet Namek, where he soundly defeated Vegeta. Like Frieza, Zarbon has the ability to transform. He possesses striking good looks not commonly seen in villains, but when he transforms, he becomes a wild and hideous monster. Though his powers are increased in his true, monstrous state, Zarbon cannot bear to be seen in such a hideous form. Therefore, very few people have witnessed his transformation and even fewer have lived to tell about it.

Super Zarbon
This is Zarbon's true, monstrous form. Though he had hidden his despised true shape for many years, in danger of being overwhelmed by Vegeta on Planet Namek, Zarbon put aside his vanity and transformed. At first glance, the transformation may not seem impressive, but beneath this hideous exterior lurks a fearsome fighting ability.

Dodoria
Dodoria is one of Frieza's top henchmen. Dodoria's brash and vulgar demeanor is a sharp contrast to the more refined attitude seen in Zarbon. After traveling to Planet Namek with Frieza, Dodoria demonstrates his power by single-handedly defeating a team of fierce Namekian warriors. He also appears in the TV special Bardock: The Father of Goku. On Planet Meat, after killing Bardock's friends Tora and the others, Dodoria ambushes Bardock when he arrives at the scene.

Super Saiyan 2 Vegeta
This is Vegeta in his Super Saiyan 2 form. In an effort to buy Goku the time he needed to form the Spirit Bomb, Vegeta transformed into this state during the battle with Kid Buu on the Supreme Kai's planet.

Great Ape (Lower-Class Warrior)
This is a lower-class Saiyan warrior after being transformed into a giant ape by the light of the full moon. The Saiyans have also developed an "artificial moon," which they can activate to transform at will. Upon transformation, a Saiyan's fighting strength increases tenfold, but he loses all reason and becomes a raging beast. Saiyans in this form have but one weak point: If their tails are cut off, they turn back to normal. When the Saiyans wish to conquer a planet inhabited by strong warriors, they launch their invasion at the time of the full moon, aiming to take control of the planet in one decisive attack.

Great Ape Vegeta
This is Vegeta transformed into a giant ape. In his first battle with Goku, Vegeta was caught off guard by Goku's surprising level of strength. Unable to defeat Goku in his normal state, Vegeta swallowed his pride and launched an artificial moon into the air, transforming himself into a giant ape. Unlike most Saiyans, Vegeta is able to retain his reason as a giant ape. Therefore, he is able to utilize his increased powers to the fullest. Vegeta has but one weakness in this form: If his tail is cut off, he will return to normal.

Vegeta (Scouter)
This is Vegeta when he first came to Earth. Still in the service of Frieza, he wears a scouter typical of the tyrant's henchmen. Having learned of the Dragon Balls through a transmission from Raditz, Vegeta came to Earth. He hoped to obtain the power of immortality to usurp Frieza. At this point, Vegeta cannot sense power levels and has to rely on his scouter. He displays the cold ruthlessness of a pure Saiyan warrior and attacks Goku and the other Z-fighters without mercy. After his defeat on Earth, it became clear to him that he relied too much on his scouter, and he began learning to sense power levels on his own. When he fought Dodoria on Planet Namek, Vegeta was so confident in his new ability that he deliberately destroyed his own scouter.

Super Saiyan 4 Vegeta.
Super Saiyan 4 Vegeta.
Super Saiyan 4 Vegeta
This is Vegeta in his ultimate Super Saiyan form, Super Saiyan 4. Unlike Goku, Vegeta cannot turn into the giant golden ape on his own. However, with the help of Bulma's custom-built Blutz Wave Generator, Vegeta is still able to achieve the Super Saiyan 4 transformation. This state has the most drastic outward changes of the various Super Saiyan forms. Vegeta's hair is black, his upper body is covered with red fur, and his nature becomes wild. Vegeta rarely fights in this form, but when he does, he unleashes a powerful finishing move called the Final Shine Attack.

Majin Vegeta
This is the form Vegeta takes after allowing Babidi's magic to draw out his full potential. Following the Cell Games, Vegeta subjected himself to a brutal training regimen. When Goku returned from Other World, however, Vegeta was shocked to find that there was still a gap between them. In order to surpass Goku, and that he might fight the way he used to, without regard for family or friends, Vegeta deliberately let himself fall under Babidi's spell. The result is Majin Vegeta. Even under the influence of Babidi's spell, Vegeta disregards the wizard's orders and challenges Goku to a duel. In this form, his body is surrounded by a lightning-like aura and his power level is comparable to Super Saiyan 2.

Baby Vegeta (Super Baby 2)
This is the form Baby takes after inhabiting Vegeta's body and after ascending to an even more powerful fighting form. In the battle with Goku, Baby achieves this form by using the accumulated energy from his servants. In addition to all of Vegeta's techniques, Baby also displays a powerful new finishing move while in this form, the Revenge Death Ball. Although he is incredibly selfish and cruel, Baby is also tremendously prideful and prefers to fight one-on-one. This may be the influence of the Tuffle king's DNA within him.

Lord Slug
This is the form Slug takes after regaining his youth through the power of the Dragon Balls. Having originally come to Earth in search of fuel for his planetary cruiser, Slug was surprised to discover that the Dragon Balls existed on Earth. He called upon Shenron to restore his ancient body to its former glory. Fully rejuvenated, Slug renewed his aspirations of galactic conquest but found Goku standing squarely in his way. Slug is an ancient Namek of extraordinary power, one of the few remaining Super Nameks of legend. He is far more powerful than Piccolo and fights without a trace of mercy, causing much suffering for the Z-fighters. He has one real weakness: the sound of a human whistling.

Super Slug
This is the form Lord Slug takes after powering up and increasing his size to gigantic proportions. The fighting techniques he uses in this form do not change, but his overall power level is raised significantly. However, he is still vulnerable to the sound of a human whistling.

Great Ape Baby Vegeta
While Baby controls Vegeta's body, he is able to take on the form of this giant golden ape. Hard pressed by Super Saiyan 4 Goku, Baby was forced to take drastic measures. Using the Blutz Wave Generator created by Bulma (another one of his servants), he makes the transformation into a golden ape. Unlike a typical Saiyan warrior, Baby is able to retain his intelligence while in this form, enabling him to use his increased power to its fullest potential. In addition to the techniques used in his previous forms, Baby has added a few new moves, such as the Super Gallic Gun.

Great Ape Raditz.
Great Ape Raditz.
Great Ape Raditz
Raditz changes into this form under the light of the full moon. While transformed into a giant ape, he loses his intelligence but his power level increases tenfold. He is difficult to distinguish from other Saiyan apes, but he is marked by the color of his coat. In the anime and manga, Raditz never transforms into a giant ape; this version of the character is an original creation for the video game.

Great Ape Nappa
Nappa changes into this form under the light of the full moon. While transformed into a giant ape, his power level increases tenfold but cutting off his tail will cause him to return to normal. It is difficult to distinguish the Saiyan apes from one another, but the color of their coats can help tell them apart. In the anime and manga, Nappa never transforms into a giant ape; this version of the character is an original creation for the video game.

Great Ape Bardock
Bardock changes into this form under the light of the full moon. While transformed into a giant ape, he loses his intelligence but his power level increases tenfold. It is difficult to distinguish the Saiyan apes from one another, but the color of their coats can help tell them apart.

Videl
Great Saiyaman, hero of Hercule City, has a partner; her name is Great Saiyawoman. Actually, she is Hercule's daughter, Videl, but she's teamed up with Great Saiyaman to defend the city from evil-doers. When she appears with Great Saiyaman, she shows off her own original heroic poses. Her costume looks like Great Saiyaman's but with a different helmet design and different color cape. In the anime movie, she and Great Saiyaman stood together against the monster Hildegarn.

Fusion Android 13.
Fusion Android 13.
Fusion Android 13
This is Android 13's powered-up form. After Vegeta and Trunks destroyed Androids 14 and 15, Android 13 absorbed their power cells and underwent this transformation. With the combined data and energy of Androids 14 and 15 added to his own, his power is increased significantly. His outward appearance is also changed dramatically, and he becomes much more reserved and quiet. The moves he uses in this form are not substantially different from his previous form, but his attacks are now powerful enough to defeat even a Super Saiyan.

Great Ape Turles
Turles changes into this form under the light of the full moon. While transformed into a giant ape, he loses his intelligence but his power level increases tenfold. He is difficult to distinguish from other Saiyan apes, but he is marked by the color of his coat. In the movie in which he originally appeared, Turles never transformed; this version of the character is an original creation for the video game.

Vegeta
This is the somewhat older version of Vegeta that appears after the Majin Buu Saga. After the Cell Games, he continued his brutal training regimen in the hopes of surpassing Goku, and as such he has become even stronger. He's still as prideful and obstinate as ever, but now that he has a family, he's not as cruel as he used to be and at times he's even acted to protect total strangers.

Later, in DragonBall GT, he changes his hairstyle and grows a mustache, suddenly taking an interest in his appearance for some reason. However, when his new daughter Bulla informed him that the mustache didn't suit him, he wound up shaving it off. In the anime, there are scenes of Vegeta driving his daughter Bulla to go shopping, which means that somewhere along the line he was able to get his driver's license.

Super Saiyan Vegeta
This is Vegeta as a Super Saiyan from the Majin Buu Saga onward. He has continued training, and his basic fighting strength is even higher than before. In Dragon Ball GT, he demonstrates his new Final Shine Attack when fighting Super Android 17.

Baby Vegeta
This is the form Baby takes after occupying Vegeta's body. Goku and his friends were able to repel Baby once, but he made his way to Earth, where he inhabited the bodies of Gohan and Goten before finally settling on Vegeta. In this form, he still strongly resembles Vegeta, though his hair is white and there are dark lines on his face and under his eyes. In reality, Baby is an artificially created parasitic organism made by the Tuffles to take revenge on the Saiyans and incorporates the DNA of the Tuffle king. In addition to seeking revenge on the Saiyans, Baby plans to restore the Tuffle race by laying eggs across the universe. He has an extremely selfish and egotistical personality and will utilize those he turns into servants until their deaths. And he believes everyone should be his servant! Vegito
Vegito is the superfighter created when Goku and Vegeta used the Potara earrings to fuse. Goku originally intended to fuse with Gohan, but Gohan was absorbed by Majin Buu. He then asked Vegeta, who had just returned from Other World, and the two fused to become Vegito. Having been born from the fusion of two Saiyans, there are few drastic changes outside of his appearance, except that his power level has increased to unimaginable levels. In the original manga, Vegito quickly changes into Super Vegito, but in the TV show, he first fights in his regular form against Majin Buu.

Super Vegito.
Super Vegito.
Super Vegito
This is Vegito transformed into a Super Saiyan. After Majin Buu absorbed Gohan, Vegito took this form to battle the monster. In his Super Saiyan form, Vegito's powers increase even further. He becomes so strong, in fact, that even the mighty Majin Buu is overwhelmed. In addition to Goku and Vegeta's specialized attacks, Vegito can use a technique that allows him to slice an opponent with a blade of energy.

Ultimate Gohan (Teen)
This is teen Gohan's ultimate form, after his full hidden potential is released by the Elder Kai's magic. After suffering serious injury at the hands of Majin Buu, Gohan was brought to the Supreme Kai's world to recover. There, Elder Kai, after being released from the Z-sword, used his slow but effective magic to transform Gohan into this powered-up state.

Since all of Gohan's power has been released, his strength and fighting skills are even greater than in his Super Saiyan form. In contrast to his Super Saiyan transformation, his appearance in this form does not change much, although there is a subtle change to his hairstyle and the look in his eyes. His personality, on the other hand, changes drastically. Gohan's reluctance to fight is forgotten, and he sets upon his enemies without mercy.

Super Gogeta
This is the super fighter created by the fusion of Goku and Vegeta. Fighting side-by-side, Goku and Vegeta were unable to defeat the monster Janemba. Thus, Goku somehow persuaded Vegeta to perform the Fusion Technique. The result was the birth of the ultimate warrior Gogeta. Gogeta's appearance has characteristics inherited from both Goku and Vegeta, but his clothes change to the costume of the Matamoran alien that taught Goku the Fusion Technique. In addition to Goku and Vegeta's signature moves, Gogeta can perform a variety of original attacks, such as the Soul Punisher, a rainbow-colored energy blast that bursts an opponent into small pieces. Though Goku and Vegeta ultimately succeeded in their fusion, their first attempt was a failure, producing a short, fat fighter by the name of Veku.

Super Saiyan 4 Gogeta.
Super Saiyan 4 Gogeta.
Super Saiyan 4 Gogeta
Gogeta is the ultimate warrior, created by the fusion of Goku and Vegeta in their Super Saiyan 4 forms. At Vegeta's suggestion, he and Goku unite to battle the seemingly unstoppable Omega Shenron. Aside from his bright scarlet hair, Gogeta's characteristics are similar to that of a Super Saiyan 4: The upper half of his body is covered in red fur and he takes on a somewhat wild demeanor. He still wears his previously seen Metamoran costume.

Having achieved his ultimate power, Gogeta is able to brush Omega Shenron aside like an insect. He is a warrior without peer and demonstrates this by performing his ultimate finishing move the Big Bang Kamehameha (a combination of Goku and Vegeta's signature attacks). Invincible though he seems, Gogeta has one serious weakness. He can only exist for 10 minutes at a time, the duration of the Fusion Technique.

Majin Buu (Good)
Buu is a terrifying monster revived by the wizard Babidi. The original, pure-evil Majin Buu was created by Babidi's father Bibidi. However, Buu was so evil that he would not follow Bibidi's orders, and rampaged out of control. The South Supreme Kai and the Grand Kai were absorbed by this evil Buu, and he transformed into the fat, childlike Majin Buu. Thanks to the influence of the Kais, Buu's evil was greatly diminished, and he was able to be controlled to a certain extent. Even so, Buu ultimately proved to be more than Bibidi could manage, and the wizard was forced to seal him away. Hundreds of years later, however, Babidi broke the seal and set Buu free to rampage once again.

After the pure-evil Majin Buu was destroyed, Hercule befriended the good Buu and taught him the basics of right and wrong. Buu even promised that he would not kill people ever again. Buu changed his name to Mr. Buu and went on to live a comfortable life at Hercule's house. In Dragon Ball GT, Buu fights against Baby to protect Hercule and Uub.

Majin Buu (Pure Evil)
This is the pure-evil part of Majin Buu personified. After seeing Hercule and his puppy injured before his very eyes, in his rage, Majin Buu split in two: the good Buu and the pure-evil Buu. This Buu is skinny and rather sickly looking, but he is brutal and ruthless, having retained most of the good Buu's powers. The techniques he uses are not that much different from the good Buu's, but his movements can be much trickier.

Majin Buu (Evil)
This is the form that the pure-evil Majin Buu takes after absorbing the good Buu. Compared to the good Majin Buu, this Buu is far less intelligent, but his brutal nature makes him far more dangerous. Unlike the previous forms of Majin Buu, this Buu has the ability to sense energy. He follows one such energy source to Kami's Lookout, where a fierce battle with Gotenks unfolds. Though he is not very intelligent, he hates to lose more than anything else and will use any means necessary to win against a stronger opponent. Interestingly enough, this is the form that the original Kid Buu took after absorbing the South Supreme Kai, who was the strongest and burliest of the Kais.

Majin Buu (Pure).
Majin Buu (Pure).
Majin Buu (Pure)
This is Kid Buu, the original creation of the wizard Bibidi and the purest form of Majin Buu. Majin Buu returned to his original form after Goku and Vegeta penetrated his body and rescued all the people he had absorbed. This Buu is so brutal and powerful that even his creator Bibidi could not control him. Upon returning to this form, Buu wastes no time before destroying Earth. Sensing Goku and Vegeta's energy, Buu next appeared on the Supreme Kai's planet, where the battle to decide the fate of the universe unfolded. With his powers of regeneration and his ability to use Instant Transmission, there is little to stop Buu from rampaging throughout the universe. If left unchecked, Buu will not stop until all of existence is destroyed.

Full Power Bojack
This is Bojack, the fearsome galactic space pirate, transformed. While fighting a fierce battle with Vegeta, he transformed into this state. His transformation is similar in many ways to that of a Super Saiyan: his skin and hair color change and an aura surrounds his body. And like a Super Saiyan, his strength is also increased on a massive scale. Along with his underlings, Bojack launches a brutal assault on Gohan, and for a time, there seems little hope for Gohan's survival.

Cooler (Final Form)
This is Frieza's older brother, Cooler, in his final form. Boasting a power level much higher than his younger brother's, the might of Cooler's final form threatens to overwhelm Goku and the Z-fighters. There are few changes to his fighting techniques or personality, though his power increases on a massive scale.

Majin Buu (Absorbed Gotenks)
This is the form Majin Buu takes after absorbing Super Saiyan 3 Gotenks and Piccolo. Pressured by Gohan's attacks, Buu absorbs Gotenks and Piccolo to power up. After his transformation, Buu can draw upon Gotenks' power and Piccolo's intellect, making him stronger and much more intelligent than in the past. This form has one weak point: When Gotenks' fusion ends, Buu loses some of his power.

Majin Buu (Absorbed Ultimate Gohan)
This is the form Majin Buu takes after he's absorbed both Gotenks and Gohan. He achieved this form when he interrupted Goku's attempt to fuse with Gohan via the Potara earrings. At this point, he has Gotenks' techniques, Piccolo's intellect, and Gohan's raw power, all at his disposal. Furthermore, his stamina is virtually unlimited. Appropriately, in this form he is also known as Ultimate Buu.

Pan
Pan is the daughter of Gohan and Videl. Always sporting her trademark bandana on her head, she's even more energetic than Goku. Craving adventure, she snuck onboard Goku and Trunks' spaceship, deciding to help them in their quest whether they liked it or not. She's one-quarter Saiyan, and as such, cannot become a giant ape or a Super Saiyan, but she is far more powerful than her age or her looks would suggest. She is a bit of a tomboy and very competitive, and her impulsiveness has gotten her into trouble on numerous occasions. For some reason, she really hates the inverted V shape of her eyebrows and explodes with anger any time someone makes fun of her over it. Hercule wanted to make Pan his successor, but she was worried about becoming too strong to get a boyfriend.

Cooler
This is the basic form of Frieza's older brother, Cooler. His resting state is similar in power to Frieza's final form and he has an even more powerful transformation at his disposal. After learning that Frieza had been defeated by a Saiyan, Cooler and his Armored Squadron went to Earth seeking revenge. His fighting techniques are similar to Frieza's, but Cooler is much more powerful and even more cruel (if that's possible).

Meta Cooler
This is Frieza's older brother Cooler, reborn through mechanization. Though he was thought to have been destroyed in his battle with Goku on Earth, Cooler floated through space on the verge of death until he had the good fortune to be picked up by the machine planet known as the Big Gete Star. He fused with the Big Gete Star's main computer, and his mind became the planet's core. His physical body was then re-created as Meta-Cooler. His power is comparable to a Super Saiyan, and his automatic repair capabilities allow him to recover from each new injury stronger than ever. Even for the combined Super Saiyan strength of Goku and Vegeta, Meta-Cooler proved to be a difficult opponent. His fighting style hasn't changed much, but he has added the Instant Transmission technique to his arsenal, as well as a few other surprises. Additionally, Big Gete Star has mass-produced an army of Meta-Cooler bodies, all of which can be controlled from the planet's central core.

Broly
This is the normal form of Broly, the Legendary Super Saiyan. Broly was born on Planet Vegeta on the same day as Goku. He remembers being tormented by the sound of Goku's crying from the neighboring incubator, instilling in him a deep-rooted resentment toward Goku. Also, because King Vegeta saw the child Broly's tremendous power as a threat, he ordered Broly's father to kill him, which caused Broly to resent the royal family, as well.

Because Broly's sheer destructive power and brutal nature were too dangerous, his father Paragas attached a circlet to his head that allowed him to control his son. This has made the teenage Broly quiet and expressionless. However, the memories reawakened by his chance encounter with Goku caused his powers to burst free, once again rampaging out of control.

Broly (Super Saiyon)
This is Broly in his Super Saiyan form. A chance encounter with Goku awakens Broly's suppressed memories, and his powers burst to the surface. The circlet around his head normally restrains Broly's brutal nature, but when he becomes a Super Saiyan, his power is too great to be controlled. He displays incredible strength while in this state, brushing aside even Vegeta's fiercest attacks.

Demon King Dabura
Dabura is the king of the Demon World that exists on the reverse side of the living world. His strength is so great that even the Supreme Kai fears him. Even so, Babidi's magic is stronger still. Having fallen under Babidi's evil spell, Dabura has become the wizard's loyal slave. Aware that Goku and the Z-fighters came to stop Majin Buu's revival, Dabura turned Piccolo and Krillin to stone with his spit. He later enters into a fierce battle with Gohan aboard Babidi's spaceship. After his death at the hands of Majin Buu, he was naturally cast into the bowels of Other World, but he seemed so comfortable there, King Yemma decided to send him to heaven instead.

Legendary Super Saiyan Broly
When Broly's power is released, he transforms into the Legendary Super Saiyan. Meeting Goku for the first time, Broly's hidden powers were awakened, and the resulting surge of energy caused the headband that had previously restrained his transformation to be broken. When he transforms into the Legendary Super Saiyan, Broly's true brutal nature takes hold, and his power seems to rise without end. In addition to his hated enemies Goku and Vegeta, Broly will destroy anyone and anything that crosses his path. It was thought that Broly was destroyed along with New Planet Vegeta, however, just before the planet exploded, he escaped on a spaceship and made an emergency landing on Earth. Afterward, in a near-death state, Broly was frozen. However, the sound of Goten's crying awoke him from his deep slumber.

Super Janemba.
Super Janemba.
Super Janemba
This is Janemba, after powering up from his original, comical form. The initial, silly form of Janemba was no match for Super Saiyan 3 Goku, and he was defeated. However, after taking this form, Janemba becomes powerful enough to turn the tables and knock Goku down. In addition to various techniques involving his powers of teleportation and psychokinesis, Janemba also attacks with a sword made from an ogre's club.

Zangya
Zangya is one of Bojack's underlings, accompanying him as he carves a swath of destruction across the galaxy. She was sealed up by the Kai along with Bojack but was released when the seal was broken. She then follows Bojack to Earth to interfere with the World Tournament finals. As Krillin notes, she's quite attractive, but she's also a powerful fighter--powerful enough to take Krillin out with a single blow! While Gohan fought Bojack, she attempted to use her psychic powers to immobilize him.

Salza
Salza is one of Cooler's subordinates and the leader of Cooler's Armored Squadron. Salza and the other members of the Armored Squadron accompanied Cooler to Earth in search of Goku. Cooler's Armored Squadron shares many similarities with Frieza's Ginyu Force in many ways, including their penchant for making up crazy poses. Although it is not mentioned in the movie, Salza is of the same race as Jeice, and he has a long-standing rivalry with Captain Ginyu.

Bojack (after transformation)
This is the normal form of Bojack, the galactic space pirate. Long ago, he led his henchmen, Gokua, Bido, Bujin, and Zanya on a destructive spree across the four galaxies until they were sealed away by the four Kais. However, when King Kai was killed along with Goku during the Cell Games, the seal was broken and Bojack was freed. Once more unleashed on the universe, Bojack resumed his quest for intergalactic domination. He intended to begin with Earth, where he and his henchmen entered the World Tournament. It was up to Gohan and the other Z-fighters to put a stop to his evil ambitions. Bojack is very powerful in his normal state, but he can also transform to become even more powerful. His four henchmen are extremely loyal, gladly willing to sacrifice themselves for his sake.

Janemba
This is the form in which Janemba first appears in Other World. A low-level servant of King Yemma named Saike was careless on the job one day while working on the Spirit Laundry machine. The machine broke down, releasing the evil being cleansed within and transformed Saike into the monster Janemba. Shortly after his creation, Janemba sealed off King Yemma's palace and released the spirits of the most evil deceased villains back into the world of the living. When Goku and Pikkon learned of the unfolding disaster, they raced to the scene to face Janemba. Though he appears to be stupid and innocent, Janemba is actually very powerful, possessing potent psychokinetic abilities. Also, from this state he can transform into his true, more powerful form.

Super Baby 1
This is Baby's powered-up form after taking over Vegeta's body. While fighting with Goku, Baby uses the power he absorbed from Gohan and Trunks to achieve this form. Baby's power is increased, and his appearance more closely resembles Baby himself.

Yajirobe
Yajirobe is a vagabond who loves to eat. Though they got off on the wrong foot on their first meeting when Goku took food from him, somewhere along the line he and Goku became friends. Although he's a dumpy little guy, he's a surprisingly skilled swordsman, as he demonstrates by defeating the monster Cymbal with a single stroke. When he encounters a powerful foe, he usually turns tail and runs, but when he does take action, he has a way of stealing the scene. He has taken to living at Korin Tower, where he has all the food he can eat and lives an easy life with Korin himself. He only entered the World Tournament once, as Mask Man, and was defeated by Shen in the preliminaries.

Uub
This is Uub as a teenager. After his destruction on the Supreme Kai's world, Kidd Buu was reborn as Uub. Upon discovering this, Goku took him on as a student. With his training complete, he and Goku fought to their hearts' content in Other World. Afterwards, he returned to the home of his real parents on a southern island but soon found himself fighting again to stop the evil Baby. Having learned gentleness and righteousness from Goku, Uub becomes one of the next generation of warriors that defend the Earth.

Syn Shenron.
Syn Shenron.
Syn Shenron
Syn Shenron is the strongest of the evil dragons born from the Dragon Balls. As the Dragon Balls are used to grant wishes, their positive energy is drained and their negative energy accumulates. For this reason, the Dragon Balls should really only be used once every century. The Z-fighters, however, have used the power of the Dragon Balls repeatedly. An excessive amount of negative energy has accrued within the Dragon Balls, giving rise to seven evil dragons. Each of the seven evil dragons has its own special powers, but Syn Shenron is the most powerful of them all, with enough negative energy to destroy the entire galaxy. Syn Shenron is powerful enough to hold his own against Super Saiyan 4 Goku, and with his powers of regeneration in addition to his massive strength, he is clearly the single most powerful enemy the Z-fighters have ever faced.

Majuub
This is the form taken by teenage Uub after combining with Majin Buu. During the battle with Baby Vegeta, Buu was scattered into tiny pieces and fused with Uub. This is the result. Uub's outward appearance doesn't change much, but having completely assimilated Majin Buu, his power is raised substantially and he is able to use Buu's various techniques. However, as Uub's body is the base for this combined form, he does not possess Buu's regeneration ability or the ability to reshape his body.

Ultimate Omega Shenron
This is the form Syn Shenron takes after absorbing all of the other dragons--Omega Shenron. Though his appearance isn't substantially changed, the seven spheres in his chest show he has absorbed all seven Dragon Balls. Omega Shenron's powers have risen to unimaginable levels, and he is able to overwhelm even Super Saiyan 4 Goku. In this form, he uses all of the combined skills of the seven evil dragons, and he can amass his negative energy into a powerful finishing attack.

Supreme Kai
The Supreme Kai stands at the pinnacle of the celestial realm. As he watches over the East Galaxy, his full title is the Eastern Supreme Kai. There were once five Supreme Kais, but the other four were killed and absorbed by the monster Majin Buu. Now only the Eastern Supreme Kai remains. Upon learning of Babidi's plans to revive Majin Buu, he and Kibito went to Earth to intervene. Though he possesses impressive telepathic and psychokinetic abilities, he was not the strongest of the Supreme Kais and could not handle Majin Buu by himself. In spite of his exalted status, the Supreme Kai can by no means claim to be omnipotent. He did not know of the Elder Kai sealed within the Z-Sword, nor of the Potara earrings.

Kibito Kai
This is the result of the fusion between the Eastern Supreme Kai and his servant Kibito. While explaining the use of the Potara earrings, the Supreme Kai accidentally got stuck in this fused state. Having combined with Kibito, his fighting strength has been significantly increased and he has gained the ability to use Instant Transmission. Even so, he is still not too terribly reliable in the heat of battle. After Majin Buu is destroyed, he and the Elder Kai pass the time by relaxing on the World of the Kais.

Hildegarn.
Hildegarn.
Hildegarn
Hildegarn is the beast that once rampaged across the planet Konats. It was once a mere statue of a demon that watched over the planet, but an evil wizard named Hoi used his magic to turn it into the beast Hildegarn. Thanks to the hero Tapion, Hildegarn was split into two parts, and the halves were sealed inside the bodies of Tapion and his brother. Tapion was also sealed inside a music box, but Hoi was able to find it, and on Earth he brought back the beast. Hildegarn is every bit as strong as he appears and has the ability to transform into a mist, making him invulnerable to most attacks. He does have one weakness: The sound of the legendary flute of Konats can seal him away.

Tapion
Tapion is a warrior from the planet Konats in the Southern Galaxy. Along with his younger brother Minoshia and others, he earned his hero status by sealing away the monster Hildegarn. He and his brother each had a half of Hildegarn sealed within their own bodies, and he himself was then sealed within a music box and sent to another galaxy. However, 1,000 years later, the evil sorcerer Hoi found the music box and broke the seal. Upon his release on Earth, Tapion was reluctant to speak with anyone at first. Over time, he gradually opened up to Trunks, who reminded him of his own brother. His sword and flute have a special power, allowing him to seal away Hildegarn.
