Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero releases October 11 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Bandai Namco revealed the date alongside a new trailer during Summer Game Fest. The upcoming fighting game is being developed by Spike Chunsoft and is just one of several Dragon Ball projects in the works for the franchise's 40th anniversary. You can preorder Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero now to get a bonus playable character and early unlocks for a bunch of others.

Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero is a continuation of Bandai Namco's long-dormant fighting series, Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi. The game was revealed at the 2023 Game Awards with a flashy trailer showing off several iconic characters from the series battling in 3D arenas.

The Bandai Namco Store-exclusive collector's edition comes with a bunch of collectibles, including a cool statue diorama, steelbook case, metallic bookmarks, and even exclusive Dragon Ball: Fusion World cards. Fusion World is a new trading card game that released earlier this year. You can preorder it now for PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC.

Characters in Sparking Zero will be able to transform into more powerful forms during combat, as evidenced by Goku, Vegeta, and Broly powering up to various levels of Super Saiyan in the announcement trailer. The full Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero roster has yet to be revealed, but Picollo, Krillin, Frieza, and Cell all appeared in the first trailer alongside the aforementioned Saiyans, so fans can count on seeing those characters and plenty more in the game when it drops this fall on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
