With the second beta for Dragon Ball FighterZ quickly approaching, Bandai Namco has shared some more details about the upcoming demo. On Twitter, the publisher revealed the full lineup of fighters and modes that players will be able to try out during the beta, including a handful of recently announced characters.
The Dragon Ball FighterZ open beta kicks off for everyone at 12 AM PT / 3 AM ET on January 14 and runs until the same time on January 16. It will feature 11 playable characters. While many of them were previously available in the closed Dragon Ball FighterZ beta back in September, the lineup also includes some newly announced characters like Beerus, Kid Buu, adult Gohan, and Nappa. The full beta roster consists of:
- Adult Gohan
- Kid Buu
- Android 18
Additionally, the beta will feature seven stages and a handful of modes to try out. Players will also be able to witness two Dramatic Scenes, which recreate iconic moments from the anime and manga series when you meet certain conditions during a battle.
Players who pre-order Dragon Ball FighterZ digitally on PlayStation 4 or Xbox One will gain access to the beta 24 hours early, on January 13. You'll also be able to jump into the demo early if you pre-order the physical Dragon Ball FighterZ Collector's Edition. Everyone who pre-orders Dragon Ball FighterZ will unlock Super Saiyan Blue Goku and Super Saiyan Blue Vegeta as a bonus.
Dragon Ball FighterZ releases for PS4, Xbox One, and PC on January 26. The game's roster consists of 24 characters so far, including three recently announced characters from Dragon Ball Super: Beerus, Hit, and Goku Black. Bandai Namco will also offer a season pass for the game that adds an additional eight characters as DLC post-release. Those who plan on picking up the PC verion will need to meet Dragon Ball FighterZ's minimum and recommended specs.
