Down Under Publisher Targets US Giants
Going straight to the top, Melbourne House takes aim at Westwood and Blizzard's turf.
Going straight for the top, Melbourne House, developers of Krush Kill 'n Destroy Xtreme (KKND), takes aim at Westwood Studios and Blizzard Entertainment with strategic bundling package and rebate offer.
Although the Fairfield Research Group believes the real-time strategy game market will exceed 25 million possible sales, Melbourne House isn't taking any chances that it might be left in the dust of the two US powerhouses. Directly targeting fans of Blizzard's Warcraft series and Westwood's C&C phenomena, the down under developers are offering a US$10 rebate (off of the already lower sale price of $40) to owners of these prominent real-time strategy games.
Distributed by Electronic Arts, KKND will also ship with its strategy guide in an attempt to reach its goal of 200,000 sales.
